Lughnasadh - August 1st: Lughnasadh, also called Lammas, celebrates the first harvest of the year. It is a time to give thanks for the abundance of the earth and to honor the Celtic god Lugh. Feasting and making corn dollies are common practices during this Sabbat. 6. Mabon - September 23rd: Mabon, the autumn equinox, marks the second harvest and the beginning of the descent into darkness. It is a time to reflect on the balance between light and dark within ourselves and to give thanks for the bounties of the year. 7. Samhain - October 31st: Samhain, also known as Halloween, is the most significant Sabbat in the Wiccan calendar. It marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the dark half of the year. It is a time to honor and communicate with ancestors, remember loved ones who have passed, and celebrate the thinning of the veil between the physical and spiritual realms. 8.
