We got answers

We spent over a year working through hundreds of formulations in a quest to recreate our favorite childhood cereals that wouldn't give us a sugar crash. We eventually figured out a way to include all of the good stuff you want—like protein and healthy fats—without any of the high sugar you don’t. Magic Spoon contains 0g sugar across most flavors, and 1g of sugar in Honey Nut.

Is this cereal keto-friendly?

Yes. Magic Spoon is perfect for anyone on a ketogenic or low carb diet. Each serving has 4g net carbs, and 0.5-1.5g saturated fats from a blend of high-oleic sunflower oil and avocado oil.

In fact, one of the reasons we created this in the first place is that we couldn’t find a cereal to fit into our low carb lifestyles, and we missed our childhood cereals more than anything else (yes, even pizza).

What are net carbs?

Not all carbs are created equal. Fiber and (most) natural sweeteners don’t affect your blood sugar, so they’re stripped out to get “net carbs,” which you can think of as the active carbs that affect your body.

In our case, net carbs = total carbs - allulose - fiber.

Do kids eat/like Magic Spoon?

Yep! Kids love Magic Spoon because it tastes just like their sugary favorites, and you’ll love it because you know they’re getting the protein growing kids need and none of the sugar they don’t.

What milk should I eat this cereal with?

Go with your favorite or with whatever’s in the fridge—Magic Spoon is delicious with any kind of milk, from whole milk, to oat milk, to almond (our favorite!). If you want to get really creative, try it as a topping for yogurt or even a frozen dessert!

What does this cereal taste like?

It tastes just like you remember—only better ;) If you’re curious about a specific flavor, check out the flavor page and the reviews! If you still need help, feel free to email us.

Why is this more expensive than “regular” cereal?

Even though Magic Spoon looks and tastes like most cereals you’ll find at the grocery store, it's closer to a high-end protein bar or keto smoothie. And at $1.95 per bowl, it’s more cost-effective than many other typical breakfast options (not to mention your morning coffee)! Making cereal with high protein and low sugar means working with more expensive ingredients than just sugar, corn, and wheat, but it’s all part of our commitment to bring you the best!

How often do you release new flavors?

New flavors drop every few months—and sometimes sooner! Be the first to know when something new is on the horizon by signing up for our newsletter or SMS list.

What is the nutritional content of your cereal?

Full nutritional info for any of our products can be found on its product page.

What are the ingredients in Magic Spoon cereal?

All of our cereal flavors contain the following ingredients: milk protein blend (casein and whey protein concentrate), monk fruit, allulose, a blend of high oleic sunflower oil and avocado oil, tapioca starch, chicory root fiber, salt, and natural flavors. For a full breakdown of additional ingredients specific to each flavor, check out that flavor’s product page.

How long will your cereal stay fresh?

Unopened boxes of Magic Spoon, both cereal and treats, have a shelf-life of 12 months.

What is Allulose?

Allulose is a naturally-occurring rare sugar found in certain plants and fruits. It tastes just like the sugar you’re used to, but has almost no glycemic impact and almost zero calories (less than 0.4 cal/g).

Is this cereal kosher?

Yes, Magic Spoon cereal and Treats are certified kosher dairy by Orthodox Union Kosher.

What flavors contain nuts?

All of our cereal, with the exception of Peanut Butter, is manufactured in a facility that handles other varieties of nuts. We do not use any nuts in the formulation of our cereals [except for Peanut Butter] but the facility we manufacture in is not nut-free. If you specifically have a Peanut allergy, we can guarantee that no other flavors are exposed to Peanuts, as we manufacture our Peanut Butter flavor in a completely separate facility.

Both Treat flavors contain nuts: we use peanuts in our Chocolatey PB Treats and almonds in our Marshmallow Treats. If you have a sensitivity to tree nuts, we recommend avoiding our Treats.

Please note that both flavors of Treats are made in a shared facility where peanut and almond allergens are both present.

Is Magic Spoon Cereal high protein?

Yes! Just one serving of Magic Spoon cereal has 13-14g grams of high quality protein .

In addition, Magic Spoon is also keto-friendly , gluten-free, and grain-free!

Is Magic Spoon cereal gluten-free, vegan, and/or dairy-free?

Our cereal and Treats are Certified Gluten-Free, but are made in a shared facility that also processes products that contain gluten. We test product in and product out, and can guarantee that we comply with the Gluten-Free Certification Organization's requirement to contain no more than 10 parts per million gluten.

Because Magic Spoon is made with a milk protein blend, our cereal is not vegan or dairy-free. We don't have plans for a vegan or dairy-free cereal in the immediate future, but we're definitely keeping it in mind as we continue to expand our product line.

What are your boxes made out of? Can they be recycled?

Our boxes are made from 100% recycled cardboard—recycle them again and keep the cycle going!

However, as she observed the monster more closely, she noticed that it seemed sad and lost. Curiosity got the better of Willow, and she decided to approach the feelings monster. She asked if it needed any help or if something was troubling it. The feelings monster hesitated for a moment but then nodded its head. The monster explained that it had been wandering through the forest for days, feeling overwhelmed by its own emotions. It didn't know how to control them and was in search of someone who could help. Willow was moved by the monster's plight. She realized that her mischievous spells could actually be of use in this case. She offered to cast a spell that would help the feelings monster understand and manage its emotions. Together, Willow and the feelings monster embarked on a magical journey, searching for the ingredients needed to cast the spell. Along the way, they faced challenges and encountered other creatures of the forest who offered their wisdom. As Willow cast the spell, the feelings monster started to feel a sense of calmness and control over its emotions. It learned to embrace its feelings and express them in a healthy way. The monster was grateful to Willow for her guidance and kindness. From that day forward, Willow and the feelings monster became good friends. They would often meet in the forest to share stories and adventures. Willow learned to be more mindful of her own emotions, while the feelings monster became a source of comfort and support for others who were struggling with their feelings. Together, they showed that even the most wayward of witches and the most unpredictable of monsters could find ways to make a positive impact on the world and bring joy to those around them. The end.

Reviews for "The Wayward Witch's Magical Journey to Understanding the Feelings Monster"

1. Sarah - 2 stars - I was really excited to read "The Wayward Witch and the Feelings Monster" after hearing so many positive reviews, but unfortunately, I found it to be quite disappointing. The story felt disjointed and rushed, with underdeveloped characters and a predictable plot. I couldn't connect with the protagonist and found her actions to be inconsistent and illogical. Overall, it fell short of my expectations and left me feeling unsatisfied.
2. Michael - 1 star - "The Wayward Witch and the Feelings Monster" is one book that I regret picking up. The writing style was lackluster, with dull descriptions and a lack of depth. The so-called "feelings monster" was supposed to be a central aspect of the story, but it felt forced and unnecessary. The plot itself was unoriginal and lacked originality, making it difficult to stay engaged. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone looking for an interesting and captivating read.
3. Emily - 2.5 stars - I had high hopes for "The Wayward Witch and the Feelings Monster," but unfortunately, it fell flat for me. While there were some moments of humor and charm, the overall story lacked depth and failed to fully explore the concepts it introduced. The pacing felt off, with rushed plot developments and a lack of proper build-up. I also found the dialogue to be awkward and unnatural, which made it difficult to connect with the characters. While the premise had potential, the execution left much to be desired.
