The Black Witch Chronicles is a series of young adult fantasy novels written by Laurie Forest. Create a new folder on your Desktop "server"
Download Forge 1.16.5
Run the Forge installer and choose "Install Server"
Navigate to the "server" folder and install it there
After that, open the folder - inside, create a new text file "eula.txt"
Open it and write
eula=true
Save and close it
Create a another new text file and paste:
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_311\bin\javaw.exe" -Xmx4096M -Xms4096M -jar forge-1.16.5-36.2.0.jar pause
Save it and rename it to start.bat
Click on it to start the server
Keep an eye on the output - after the "Done!" write
into the console to stop the server
In your server folder now you will find a mods-folder
There you can put your mods
Get the mods from curseforge.com
Make sure your mods are for 1.16.5 - also check the Relations tab - some mods require other mods to work
Do not use client-side-only mods like Optifine, Minimaps or mods making changes at the HUD
Restart the server and check the console if it is starting without any issues
Your client requires the same mods
Install this forge version again and choose Install client
Start the Launcher, choose the forge version and start the game - in main menu close the game
Go to your clients mods folder and copy all of your server mods from your server into it
Start the profile again, go to multiplayer and add a new server
As server ip use
localhost
and try to join your server
In the console you can give you op permissions with
op NAME
If you want others to play on your server, then you have to port forward and give them your IP
