I beg to differ on the necessary part to an extent. Story wise it is highly recommended and not to mention even getting just one of them will help your light level out to the soft cap and get items you normally wouldnt be able to in even the latest dlc. If you don't care about the story especially or even previous content which is sad because even the older content is good (just not as good as witch queen), then yeah sure, get the new dlc and call it a day. Other than the levelling to the soft cap point (since you can kind of do that with WQ,) I agree. Besides, doing the DLC's is much faster than the wait for new ones, so I'd bet most people could probably play all the DLC and still easily be finished before the next expansion comes out.

Destiny 2 witch queen valuation

Hi there Destiny 2 fans.

I have found Destiny 2: Witch Queen dlc for 20 € should I get it or wait?

I like the expansion a lot. I think the Deluxe Edition is worth the (full retail) price.

I think the basic edition is a bit more problematic, as there's a lot it doesn't include, but it is a way to parcel out your expenses and to only buy what you need, so maybe that's a better choice for some.

As to the version you've found . I dunno. If it's a legit reseller, then it's probably fine. If it's not a legit reseller, I probably wouldn't give them my money.

I disagree quite strongly. This is a live-service game. The current expansion (and an active Season Pass) is always the best use of your money. In my opinion of course.

The older expansions are depreciated legacy content. They're NOT necessary to play. I don't advise buying them unless you can get the Legacy Edition on sale. They're "nice to have" but not necessary.

The Deluxe version gives you all of the Year Five content. Including the expansion, all four Season Passes, the two dungeons (which will be released later in the year) and some smaller stuff.

The Basic version just includes the expansion.

You have to decide what content you're likely to want. If you want it all, then the Deluxe version is the better deal. If you aren't going to utilize it all, then the basic one may serve your needs better.

That has to be your decision though.

Some people think of the story as a crucial element. Given how much of it has been vaulted, I have trouble placing too much emphasis on that. Yes, story is nice to have, but the way Destiny 2 works, I don't think walking in into the middle of the story is necessarily a problem.

This is an ARPG, not an MMORPG or a C-RPG. There IS a story, but it's just not that crucial. (You shoot bad guys for cool loot. If you're lucky, Eris can turn them into guns when they're dead).

Your character is a Deathless Revenant, tasked with defending the last remnants of Humanity, who huddle in the ruins of their once great, Golden Age civilization. They are beset by enemies on all sides. There are older Guardians than you, many of whom fought in conflicts that were before your time, but what's past is prologue. Here . here is the enemy we need you to turn your attention to right now (Zavala points to this seasons primary Antagonist).

There, now you know the story. You're ready for Witch Queen.

The basic Witch Queen Campaign (on Normal mode) is fine for getting you to the soft cap. And the Witch Queen zones have active content and activities. The older expansions do not.

So . As I said, the older expansions are considered (by Bungie) to be depreciated legacy content. I stand by my supposition that they're not necessary. I don't actually disagree with you regarding how nice it was to have the older stories and play through them, but I do disagree how much attention new players should give to them.
