The Motown Legacy: Celebrating the Magic Crew's Influence

By admin

Motown is a record label that is known for its contributions to the music industry, particularly during the 1960s and 1970s. It was founded in Detroit, Michigan by Berry Gordy Jr. in 1959. The Motown sound, as it came to be known, was a unique blend of soul, pop, and R&B that had a distinct sound and style. Many iconic artists, such as The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and The Jackson 5, began their careers at Motown. Behind the scenes, there was a group of unsung heroes who helped create the Motown magic: the Motown magic crew.

Let's see. tricks you can do with Mesika loops:

Restaurant magicians use invisible elastic bracelets to perform levitations without clumsy reels, street magicians use them to bring in bigger tips, and mentalists use them to perform incredible psychic feats. I ve had a spool of Mesika Elastics from I think my first magic purchase, I ve tried a ton of times, always end up not being able to do it, getting super close, breaking them, getting frustrated, making a few, breaking them before I can do anything, and then giving up after a while.

Loops magoc trick

Behind the scenes, there was a group of unsung heroes who helped create the Motown magic: the Motown magic crew. These were the talented musicians, songwriters, and producers who worked tirelessly to produce hit after hit. They were the backbone of Motown's success and their contributions cannot be overstated.

Best magic loops?

Hey fellow magicians, I am looking to perform haunted deck, levitating rings and bills. I am looking for the loop with the best strength to invisibility ratio for a respectable price. I would prefer a spool of the stuff as being 13, money is difficult to come by. I have never used loops before, what would you recommend me? Also, what is stripping threads and how is it done?

Thanks for your time,

To start with you need to understand the difference between Invisible Thread and Invisible Elastic Thread. Loops are Yegal Mesika's trademarked name for his bands of IET. They are sold in packs of 8 as Loops New Generation for around $10 and they come with a video that teaches floating bill and haunted deck. The effects you list can be done with IT, EIT and Loops.

Finn John and Yegal Mesika also have a 2 DVD set titled Loops for around $30. Ellusionist has a three downloads for $20 to $30 each (or $50 for all three) called Guerrilla Guide to Loops. Michael Ammar has three DVDs called Easy to Master Thread Miracles for around $30 each. They cover IT, IET and Loops.

To tie your own invisible elastic bands, I'd recommend getting Mesika's Elastics which is a spool of IET. There is a download called the Millionaire's Knot that teaches how to make your own invisible elastic bands but I don't see it available anywhere. I suspect with some amount of searching on the internet you can learn how to make them. It helps to have magician's wax to make your own invisible elastic bands - You can use Mesika Wax (which is around $10 for a tin) or buy white beeswax pellets in a craft store. Other folks like Michael Ammar's magician's wax.

I would get two eight packs of loops to begin with. Expect to go through an 8 pack before you get the hang of handling them (expect to go through two or three in the first five minutes) and then the second 8 pack will last you a while. It is worth it to get the video on how to use them. Once you do that, then I'd go on to making your own.

My one piece of advice for using loops is to gently stretch them out before using them. They will last longer that way.

For elastic thread i recommend prym 977770. Its like $7 for 200m and works better than anything else i've used. For regular IT I use magic makers which probably isnt the best but it works and comes with a good sized block of wax. Ots not stripped though so youll have to learn to do that if you get it. Stripping means separating individual strands from a woven thread the way i do it is to the length i want and stick one end to a table with wax, then you can just tease out individual strands. Its a little knacky but it works.

Recognize that the Magic Makers Invisible Thread cannot be used to make invisible elastic bands that are similar to Loops.

Do you have any tips for making your own loops. I've had a spool of Mesika Elastics from I think my first magic purchase, I've tried a ton of times, always end up not being able to do it, getting super close, breaking them, getting frustrated, making a few, breaking them before I can do anything, and then giving up after a while. I don't wanna buy any because I don't want to make more magic purchases until I start performing more often.

Any magician (beginner to professional) needs these. they’re easily concealed and can be used for almost an infinite amount of effects
Motown magic crew

One of the key members of the Motown magic crew was the Funk Brothers. They were a group of session musicians who played on most Motown recordings. They were responsible for creating the signature Motown sound, with their tight rhythms and memorable melodies. The Funk Brothers were so integral to Motown's success that they played on more number one hits than The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, and The Beach Boys combined. In addition to the Funk Brothers, there were many other talented individuals who made up the Motown magic crew. Songwriters like Holland-Dozier-Holland and Smokey Robinson wrote hit after hit for Motown artists. Producers like Norman Whitfield and Stevie Wonder helped shape the sound of Motown and brought out the best in the artists they worked with. The Motown magic crew worked together to create some of the most iconic and beloved music of all time. Their talent, creativity, and dedication helped Motown become one of the most successful record labels in history. The Motown sound continues to inspire and influence artists to this day, and the legacy of the Motown magic crew lives on..

Reviews for "From the Echoes of Detroit: Uncovering Motown's Magic Crew"

1. John Doe - 1/5 stars - I really didn't enjoy the performance by the Motown magic crew. The singing was off-key and the choreography was sloppy. It felt like a cheap imitation of the original Motown artists. I was expecting to be entertained but instead, I was left disappointed and wanting my money back. I would not recommend this show to anyone.
2. Jane Smith - 2/5 stars - I was really excited to see the Motown magic crew, but unfortunately, they fell short of my expectations. The singing was average and the dance routines were uninspiring. It lacked the energy and soul that I associate with Motown music. While it was great to hear some classic tunes, overall, I felt the performance was lackluster and failed to capture the magic of Motown.
3. Peter Johnson - 2/5 stars - The Motown magic crew was a letdown for me. I found the singers to be mediocre, and the dance moves were not impressive. The whole performance felt amateurish and unpolished. I was hoping for a nostalgic journey through the golden era of Motown, but instead, I got a subpar imitation that left me unfulfilled. I would advise others to seek out a better tribute act or attend a Motown-inspired concert instead.
4. Emily Williams - 3/5 stars - While the Motown magic crew had its moments, I wasn't completely blown away. Some of the singers had good voices, but they lacked the charisma and stage presence of the original Motown artists. The choreography was decent, but it didn't have that wow factor. Overall, I felt like the performance was just average and didn't live up to the hype surrounding the Motown music genre.
5. David Thompson - 2/5 stars - I had high hopes for the Motown magic crew, but unfortunately, it fell short for me. The singing was inconsistent, with some performers being more talented than others. The energy of the performance was lackluster and it failed to create a captivating atmosphere. I left the show feeling underwhelmed and wishing I had spent my money on a different event.
