Did the Witch-King s sword actually emit flames, or was and flames ran down the blade a poetic metaphor for its mirror like surface reflecting the fires inside and outside Minas Tirith.

The powerful weapon of the witch king

Blaine's unique blend of mystique, charm, and mind-bending tricks has captivated audiences worldwide. He has pushed the boundaries of what is possible in magic, performing fearless feats such as being buried alive, submerged in water for days, and even levitating. Inspired by Blaine's success and daring performances, Mikey has developed his own signature style.

In Lord of the Rings, did the Witch-King's sword actually emit flames?

During the siege of Minas Tirith, when the gate was broken down by Grond, Gandalf waited there and the Witch-King rode up to enter.

The Black Rider flung back his hood, and behold! he had a kingly crown; and yet upon no head visible was it set. The red fires shone between it and the mantled shoulders vast and dark. From a mouth unseen there came a deadly laughter. ‘Old fool!’ he said. ‘Old fool! This is my hour. Do you not know Death when you see it? Die now and curse in vain!’ And with that he lifted high his sword and flames ran down the blade.

Did the Witch-King's sword actually emit flames, or was "and flames ran down the blade" a poetic metaphor for its mirror like surface reflecting the fires inside and outside Minas Tirith? I believe that the Balrog's sword in Moria actually did emit flames, unless that was another poetic metaphor, but a Balrog was an Ainur, a spirit with great control over matter, and not a mortal sorceror.

What I want to know is why it brandished a sword against Gandalf, but then smote Éowyn with a mace. It carries multiple weapons? What's wrong with the sword?

Hah! It's lampshaded a few pages earlier: "King, Ringwraith, Lord of the Nazgûl, he had many weapons." :)

Witch King just looted a cool new flying mount, and a nice cosmetic effect for his sword. Of course he wanted to show all that off.

Reviews for "Mikey Day and David Blaine: The Dynamic Duo of Street Magic"

1. Samantha - 2 stars - I was highly disappointed with "Mikey dsy david blaine xtreet magic". The title was misleading and the content was underwhelming. I expected mind-blowing street magic tricks like I've seen from other magicians, but all I got was a series of basic card tricks and cheap illusions. The enthusiasm of Mikey dsy was also lacking, making the whole performance seem dull and uninteresting. Overall, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time on this mediocre magic show.
2. James - 1 star - "Mikey dsy david blaine xtreet magic" was a complete disaster. The tricks were poorly executed and lacked any sort of originality. It felt like I was watching a beginner magician who had just learned magic tricks from a cheap magic kit. The production quality was also subpar, with distracting background noises and shaky camera work. I was hoping for a captivating and thrilling magic show, but this was a complete letdown.
3. Emma - 2 stars - I was not impressed with "Mikey dsy david blaine xtreet magic". The tricks were predictable and unimpressive, not to mention the lackluster presentation by Mikey dsy. The reactions from the audience seemed forced and staged, making it hard to believe that the magic was genuine. I expected to be amazed and delighted by this street magic performance, but all I felt was a sense of regret for wasting my time on such a lackluster show.
4. Josh - 1 star - "Mikey dsy david blaine xtreet magic" was a disappointment from start to finish. The magician's delivery was flat and uninspiring, and the tricks themselves were far from mind-blowing. It felt like I was watching a poorly rehearsed school talent show rather than a professional street magic performance. Save your money and find a better magician to watch because this one falls short in every aspect.
