Finding Hope in the Curse: Stories of Survival on Wolf Mountain

By admin

The Curse of Wolf Mountain: A Haunting Legend Nestled deep in the heart of rural Appalachia lies Wolf Mountain, a place shrouded in mystery and haunted by an ancient curse. Legend has it that long ago, a tribe of Native Americans inhabited the mountain, living in harmony with the land and its creatures. However, their peaceful existence was soon disrupted when a wolf with supernatural powers arrived on Wolf Mountain. This wolf, known as the Spirit Wolf, was said to possess incredible strength and wisdom. The Native Americans revered the Spirit Wolf, believing it to be a powerful protector of the mountain. But as time went on, a group of settlers arrived in the region, seeking to claim the land and its resources for their own.

I’m having a crazy idea we are scheduled on a 4 night magic in august we disembark on a Monday would it be crazy to rent a car and drive to pc to go on the wish that same day? I really want to sail the magic but kind of bummed it’s only 4 nights leading me to think of these crazy ideas. I mean we could do a back to back in the magic but not crazy on the itinerary.

that gets back to FLL on the Monday and I, too, was considering how difficult and feasible it would be to get from FLL to PC for a cruise on the Wish that leaves the same day. We are closing on a direct Aulani purchase with current incentives and were informed of a new program called magical beginnings where you can give back the current use year points aka bonus points for another 10 point off.

But as time went on, a group of settlers arrived in the region, seeking to claim the land and its resources for their own. Ignorant of the mountain's sacred nature and the Spirit Wolf's role, the settlers began to encroach upon its territory, hunting and killing its kind. Enraged by this intrusion, the Spirit Wolf unleashed a powerful curse upon the settlers.

"Magical Beginnings" .

We are closing on a direct Aulani purchase with current incentives and were informed of a "new program" called "magical beginnings" where you can give back the current use year points (aka bonus points) for another $10/point off. It didn't strike us as particularly magical to sell the points back to Disney at ~half their value but your mileage may vary. Anyone else gotten this?

Is this for a limited time only? I was going to call tomorrow.

It wasn't framed to us as limited time only. It was framed as a "new program" and I assumed that meant it was more permanent. I am not sure if for all or only select resorts though.

I thought one year's points are valued at about $6 per point so $10 would be a better deal? Maybe I am misunderstanding this?
I just emailed my CM to get the details and will post once received.

We did this when we bought in 1999 and the buyback was $10pp then, too. But direct points were $65 in 1999, not $200+.

That's better than what they normally give in trade for points. It's probably a reasonable option that will work for some buyers. Some don't want to deal with renting out points and most who do rent use a broker so would be getting $15.50-16/pt.

Well these are the 2021 points essentially without maintenance fees. Since you can rent them for ~$18 on the free market (sometimes more, sometimes less), that is the value we assigned to them ourselves.

Are you a new member or adding on points? I'm curious if they would only offer this to new members (hence the title "Magical Beginnings") or to any new contracts purchased.

And I assume they would waive the current year's dues for those points if you gave them back?

Adding on so I am guessing they mean beginning of that particular contract. I didn't ask about the dues on those points (and it is only December for this year anyways which is the advantage of the first year points).

While not "crazy" I'd be nervous that the Magic might not make it back into port in time to make the connection. Remote, sure, but the possibility would still be there.
Cust of the curse of wolf nountain

It is said that anyone who harmed a wolf or disrespected the mountain would suffer the consequences of the curse, doomed to an eternity of haunting and misfortune. Since then, countless tales of tragedy and eerie happenings have taken place on Wolf Mountain. Locals speak of hearing ghostly howls in the night, seeing shadowy figures lurking among the trees, and experiencing unexplainable phenomena. It is as if the Spirit Wolf continues to protect its sacred lands even after death. Over the years, numerous attempts have been made to break the curse, but all have failed. Those who have tried to undo the curse claim to have encountered a series of obstacles, including sudden sickness, strange accidents, and inexplicable events that deter them from their mission. As a result, many believe that the curse is indestructible and that the only way to evade its wrath is to respect the land and the creatures that call it home. Today, Wolf Mountain remains a place shrouded in both natural beauty and supernatural dread. Visitors are warned to tread lightly and show respect, for the curse of the Spirit Wolf still lingers, waiting to punish those who dare to disturb its eternal slumber..

Overall, I found "Curse of the Curse of Wolf Mountain" to be a disappointing read. The plot was convoluted and confusing, with too many characters to keep track of. The writing was also mediocre, lacking in depth and description. There were also several grammatical errors throughout the book, which were distracting and took away from the overall reading experience. I had high hopes for this book, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations.

"Curse of the Curse of Wolf Mountain" was a frustrating read for me. The pacing of the story was incredibly slow, taking forever to get to any interesting parts. The plot was also disjointed and lacked coherence, making it difficult to follow along. The writing style was unremarkable, lacking in creativity and imagination. I had hoped for a thrilling and engaging adventure, but this book failed to deliver on that front.
4. Mark - 1 star
I was severely disappointed by "Curse of the Curse of Wolf Mountain". The characters were unlikable and their actions were often irrational and inconsistent. The plot was disjointed and filled with unnecessary subplots that added nothing to the overall story. Furthermore, the author's writing style was flat and lacked any sort of depth or emotion. I struggled to finish this book and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a well-crafted story.
