Trip has continued the legacy of his predecessors, attending games and events, and serving as a symbol of school pride and spirit. 1. Sarah - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with the Butler University mascot, Butler Blue. I had heard so much hype about him and expected something really impressive. However, when I saw him in person, I was underwhelmed. He looked like just another regular dog and didn't have any unique or standout features. I feel like the university could have done a much better job with their mascot choice.
2. John - 1 star - Butler Blue, in my opinion, is a completely forgettable mascot. I can't even remember what he looks like, that's how unimpressive he was. The whole purpose of a mascot is to bring energy and excitement to events, but Butler Blue just fell flat. I don't understand why the university chose such a lackluster character to represent them. Definitely not a mascot I will remember or care about.
3. Emily - 2 stars - Butler Blue is just not my cup of tea. I found the whole concept of having a live bulldog as a mascot to be a bit outdated and unoriginal. There are so many other schools with similar mascots, and I feel like Butler University missed an opportunity to be more unique. Additionally, the actual dog used as the mascot didn't stand out in any way. Overall, I was disappointed and expected more creativity from such a prestigious university.
4. Alex - 1 star - I really didn't see the point of having a live mascot like Butler Blue. I understand the tradition and all, but it just seems unnecessary. The dog didn't add anything to the game or the university spirit. In fact, it just distracted from the actual events happening. I would much prefer a more interactive and engaging mascot that can entertain and hype up the crowd, rather than just a dog sitting on the sidelines. Butler Blue didn't leave any lasting impression on me.
