1. John - 2/5 stars - While I appreciated the positive message of empowerment and self-acceptance, I found "Black Girl Magic Brut" to be a bit too preachy and heavy-handed with its themes. While the intention behind the film was admirable, the execution left much to be desired. The pacing was slow, and the dialogue felt forced and unnatural. The film lacked the emotional depth and nuance needed to truly resonate with its audience. Although there were some moments that stood out, overall, it failed to fully capture the essence of black girl magic.

The characters were one-dimensional and lacked depth, and the dialogue was painfully unrealistic. The plot felt contrived and did not offer anything new or thought-provoking. While I appreciate the attempt to promote representation and empowerment, the execution fell short, resulting in a lackluster film that failed to captivate me.
4. Emily - 2/5 stars - While I understand the importance of promoting diversity and showcasing black girl magic, "Black Girl Magic Brut" felt forced and formulaic. The plot followed a predictable narrative arc, and the characters were generic and lacked individuality. The film's attempts to tackle complex themes felt superficial and surface-level. Overall, I found this film to be forgettable and unimpressive, failing to live up to its potential.
