"The Witch Next Door" is a delightful children's book written by Norman Bridwell. It tells the story of a young boy named Norman who discovers that his new neighbor is a witch. At first, Norman is scared and unsure about having a witch living next door. She is kind, helpful, and always ready to lend a hand.
Very technically they try to claim 2000mbps when you are using a ethernet cable. The 1200 is the fairly standard wifi lie. If you were to run a ethernet cable all the way to your room and hook a 1200 AP to it you might get 300mbps next to it if you were lucky.
If you are getting 900 on your current router it is likely you are using wifi6 where it has a "lie" number in the 3000 or more range.
The average download speed measured 5 times at each of the locations in my house ranges from 13 to 26 of the advertised speeds and goes nowhere near them. 11ac Wi-Fi AP not just a repeater as some of the cheaper adapters , but it is unstable and resets the power line connection every single time I connect and generate some traffic.

Oct 25, 2018 4 0 4,510I just moved in my house and I work from home
I needed a perfect connection
Close to my internet box I have 900 mbps and in my office upstairs it's 300 mbps (which is not bad but I wanted more)
I bought the Develo Magic 2 Wifi next kit and when I set up everything my max is 80 mbps
But it says in the box it can go up to 1200 mbps so I don't get it
Is someone knows how to fix it or what did I do wrong ?
ps : I have the same speed with wire or wifi via devolo
Thank you so much

That is because you think there is a "magic" solution to your problem.
I am somewhat surprised that you only get 80mbps, most people get over 200mbps with the newer powerline technology.

Getting 300mbps upstairs away from the router is actually a very good number. Wifi6 and wifi in general only gets the very fast speeds when you.

The reason you use powerline networks rather than wifi is not because it is faster. You use powerline because the latency is more stable. This is mostly important to people that play online games and to some smaller extent people that do video conferencing.
In these cases having very consistent latency is much more important than bandwidth. Something like a game only uses 1mbps up and down when you are playing. Having more bandwidth provides no benefit, it is much more important the latency/ping time is stable.
You have to ask yourself what application do you use actually needs huge bandwidth. Most more normal internet use does not need a lot. Even 4k netflix is only 25mbps or so.
In any case the only technology that is going to give you more than 300mbps is MoCA. You need coax wire in both rooms to use MoCA. The newer MoCa units can easily get full gigabit speeds with low latency, but many people do not have coax wire in both rooms.
