The Golden Curse of Midas: In Greek mythology, King Midas was known for his extraordinary wealth and power. However, his insatiable desire for more led him to acquire a curse that would turn everything he touched into gold. The story goes that one day, Dionysus, the god of wine, was so pleased with Midas that he offered him a wish. Hoping to increase his wealth, Midas asked that everything he touched turn to gold. The Salamanders, or Fire Spirits, live in the attenuated and spiritual ether which is the invisible element of fire, they belong to the east, the fire place where the sun rises, where everything begins.
