[Elf] Buddy has some degree of North Pole magic despite being a human
So Buddy obviously doesn't possess the magic of elves demonstrated by his inability to make toys at their rate. However, I believe he must have some amount of it, perhaps simply from living for 30 odd years in the North Pole. He seems to demonstrate several light magical abilities throughout the film that I'll list:
- Travels from the North Pole to New York without the clothing necessary for a human to survive. He also does not know survival skills, so he likely wouldn't have been able to make fire or hunt for food on the trip. Upon his arrival to New York he is not worn out, gaunt, showing signs of hypothermia, etc.
- Seems to not require a diet that a normal human would. Based on his "elf food groups,$ he has eaten mainly sugar his entire life, yet is 6'2" and perfectly healthy.
- Clothes seem to display magical behavior as well. They remain clean throughout the film, and at one point he pulls a bottle of syrup out of the loose sleeve; it would seemingly fall out normally.
- Has minor physical enhancements. There's the famous snowball scene in which he both creates dozens of snowballs in seconds, and throws them just as rapidly. He also takes a few beatings throughout the film and never has to receive medical attention afterwards. This one seems somewhat iffy though since he also seems to be hurt by minor thing such as a pinprick.
- Buddy demonstrates an enhanced stealth ability as well. First he manages to stay in Gimbels after hours, avoiding security guards to decorate the entire store. Later he destroys a TV stand and builds a rocking horse overnight, no one managing to hear him.
- General elf abilities. Even though he can't build toys to the degree of most elves, he is extremely talented in decorating, engineering work on Santa's sleigh, and woodworking. This could theoretically be chalked up to raw skill, but given the time he accomplishes his feats in, it seems very difficult for a normal human.
There are probably examples I'm forgetting or missed, but I think based on this it's clear that Buddy has inherited some holiday magic just by living in the North Pole.

1. Karen - 1/5 stars - I was really disappointed with the Teletubbies mascot regalia. It looked nothing like the characters from the show and was poorly made. The fabric was cheap and the colors were all wrong. The headpiece was especially uncomfortable and poorly fitted. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this product to any fans of the Teletubbies as it is a major letdown.
2. John - 2/5 stars - I was excited to receive the Teletubbies mascot regalia, but it just didn't live up to my expectations. The sizing was way off - it was way too big for me, despite selecting the appropriate size. The material used was also quite thin and flimsy. The overall quality was lacking and it did not resemble the Teletubbies characters well. I had much higher hopes for this product and I'm disappointed that it fell short.
3. Sarah - 2/5 stars - This Teletubbies mascot regalia was a huge disappointment. I found the design to be quite creepy and far from accurate to the beloved characters of the show. The size was also a problem, as it was too small for me even though I purchased my usual size. The regalia is also very uncomfortable to wear, itchy and the seams are noticeable. I wouldn't recommend this product if you're looking for a quality Teletubbies costume.
