These books are so much fun to read, and to read aloud, to kids. They are creative, humorous, intriguing, and perfectly paced. Stuart and April are wonderful characters who squabble and reconcile so realistically, you feel like you’re joining a pair of old friends. The clever clues, puzzles, and the mysteries they unveil will keep you intrigued until the very end. Horten’s Miraculous Mechanisms was short-listed for the Carnegie Medal and the Costa Book Awards.

I had a very disappointing experience at Talisman Apartments in Redmond. First of all, the management was extremely unresponsive and unhelpful. Whenever I had an issue or a question, it took them ages to get back to me, if they even bothered to respond at all. Additionally, the maintenance of the apartment complex was subpar. There were constant issues with water leakage and the plumbing became a nightmare. The noise levels were also unbearable, as the walls seemed paper-thin and I could hear my neighbors' conversations and TV shows. Overall, I would not recommend living at Talisman Apartments.

My stay at Talisman Apartments in Redmond was a complete disaster. From the very beginning, there were numerous problems with the unit. The heating system was faulty, resulting in freezing temperatures during the winter. It took multiple maintenance requests and weeks of discomfort before they finally resolved the issue. Moreover, the walls were so poorly insulated that I could hear everything happening in the neighboring units. The lack of privacy was unacceptable, especially considering the high rent prices. Lastly, the parking situation was horrendous. There were never enough spots available, and I often had to park far away from my building. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Talisman Apartments at all costs.
