Among the many cultures and ethnicities that have been drawn to the mystique of magic, the people of Black ethnicity have had unique perspectives and responses. Throughout history, magic has held a significant place in the lives of Black people. From ancient African civilizations with their rich spiritual traditions to the diaspora caused by the transatlantic slave trade, magic has played a role in healing, protection, and empowerment within the Black community. Magic has often been used as a form of resistance against oppression, providing solace and hope in times of hardship. For many people of Black ethnicity, magic has also been a means of reconnecting with their ancestral roots.
