Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is a video game that was released for the Nintendo 3DS. It is the third installment in the Shantae series and follows the adventures of the half-genie hero, Shantae. In this game, Shantae teams up with her arch-nemesis, Risky Boots, to save Sequin Land from an evil curse. The game takes place after the events of the previous game, Shantae: Risky's Revenge. In the previous game, Shantae lost her powers and must now rely on Risky Boots to help her defeat a new threat to Sequin Land. The curse causes various monsters to appear throughout the land, and Shantae must travel to different islands to find the magic seals that will lift the curse.
