The rune of dominance is a powerful symbol in ancient mythology and magical practices. It is said to embody the essence of control, authority, and power. In many mythological traditions, the rune of dominance is believed to enable individuals to assert their will and influence over others. It is often used as a tool in rituals and spellcasting to gain control over a situation or to bend others to one's desires. The rune of dominance is typically depicted as a geometric symbol or glyph, often resembling a stylized arrow or spearhead. Its shape is meant to represent the piercing energy of authority and control.
Amsterdam, the Magic Center is part of STEDELIJK TURNS, a research-driven programme that focuses on the museum collection and offers fresh insights and interpretations. The exhibition is curated by the Stedelijk, in partnership with the Rijksmuseum. Both museums take an interest in the counterculture of the sixties and are able to combine their research and collections in this project. Where the Stedelijk acquired and exhibited many works during the counterculture era; the Rijksmuseum will present a number of unusual recent acquisitions. Designed by Bart Guldemond, the exhibition encompasses over 250 works and objects and around 100 reproductions from the collections of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, the Rijksmuseum, the International Institute for Social History, The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision, and other museums and private collections.
Where the Stedelijk acquired and exhibited many works during the counterculture era; the Rijksmuseum will present a number of unusual recent acquisitions. 50 Years later, the Stedelijk looks back at a series of historic happenings, events and conceptual artworks that took place or were presented in Amsterdam, often with the city as décor.
Its shape is meant to represent the piercing energy of authority and control. In magical practices, the rune of dominance is used to establish a sense of power and confidence. It can be inscribed on objects or drawn on surfaces to imbue them with a sense of authority.

Flavors of Magic is a project to highlight and foster diversity in the magic community. Our signature event is a monthly show which will showcase how magicians’ backgrounds, experiences, and personalities create unique and exciting artistic choices.

Artists also critique society, such as the ironic work of Pieter Engels and Jeroen Henneman, that parodies middle class life. Others take it a step further: Gerrit Dekker and Ben d’Armagnac create structures demonstrating that art is also capable of proposing an entirely new way of (autarchic) life. In an epoch when men still dominate the art world, women artists manage to break through. Ferdi creates colourful, soft sculpture with biomorphic forms steeped in a heady eroticism. One of her works, Purple People Eater, acquired by the Stedelijk after her solo in 1968, has been restored especially for this exhibition. The work of contemporaries such as Maria van Elk and Louwrien Wijers also reveals a highly evolved artistic vision. Aside the named above, the exhibit also features work or documentation by artists including Douwe Jan Bakker, Pieter Boersma, Marinus Boezem, stanley brouwn, Jan Dibbets, Ger van Elk, Adri Hazevoet, Immo Jalass, Robert Morris, Dennis Oppenheim, Willem de Ridder, Seemon and Marijke, Tjebbe van Tijen, and Lawrence Weiner.
Some practitioners may also incorporate the rune into sigils or talismans to enhance their own personal dominance and assertiveness. However, it is important to note that the rune of dominance should be approached with caution and respect. It is a symbol of great power, and if wielded irresponsibly or with malicious intent, it can have unintended consequences. It is always advised to use such symbols and practices with ethical considerations and with the utmost respect for the free will and autonomy of others..

1. Jenna - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with "Rune of dominance". The plot felt convoluted and hard to follow, with too many characters and subplots that didn't add much to the main story. The world-building was also lacking, making it difficult to fully immerse myself in the setting. Additionally, the writing style felt choppy and the dialogue was often forced. Overall, I just couldn't connect with the story or the characters, and it left me feeling underwhelmed.
2. Mark - 1/5 stars - I found "Rune of dominance" to be an incredibly boring read. The pacing was slow, and it felt like nothing of importance happened for the majority of the book. The characters were one-dimensional and lacked depth, making it hard to care about their fates. Furthermore, the dialogue was unnatural and stilted, taking me out of the story instead of drawing me in. I had high hopes for this book, but it just didn't deliver for me.
3. Emily - 2.5/5 stars - "Rune of dominance" had an interesting concept, but it was poorly executed. The writing was overly descriptive to the point of being monotonous, and it took away from the overall enjoyment of the story. The main character was unrelatable and made decisions that felt out of character, which made it difficult for me to fully invest in the story. Additionally, the ending felt rushed and didn't provide a satisfying resolution. Overall, I found this book to be mediocre and wouldn't recommend it to others.
4. Ryan - 2/5 stars - I struggled to get through "Rune of dominance". The narrative was confusing and lacked coherence, with abrupt shifts in the plot that left me feeling disoriented. The world-building was also lacking, leaving me with numerous unanswered questions about the setting. The characters were forgettable and didn't undergo significant development throughout the story. While there were some interesting ideas present, they were not enough to salvage the overall reading experience for me.
