can into my tulip glass, this beer pours a fairly sedimenty, medium golden color w a bit of a copper hue color w a few streams of little bubbles continuously rise to the beer s surface. To keep it simple, the brand made a huge splash in the late nineties and grew substantially in terms of market share, sales dollar volume, and production volume throughout the 2000s.

Brewed with Phantasm and orange peels. Phantasm is an ingredient which is made from Sauvignon Blanc grape skin extract. Aromas of candied orange, mango and guava give way to flavors of citrus blossom honey, mango, cherry cordial, white wine and papaya.

Poured from a can. Dark golden with sediment and a large head and lacing. Smells of orange, grape and guava. Flavors of orange, grape, and grass with a strong hop presence. Good flavor, definitely sense the higher avb, solid beer

Poured out of a 12 oz. can into my tulip glass, this beer pours a fairly sedimenty, medium golden color w/ a bit of a copper hue color w/ a few streams of little bubbles continuously rise to the beer's surface. Has a very nice white head that’s an inch thick when first poured. The sediment is most likely from the grapes and the phantasm, which is made grape skin extract. Has a huge, fluffy, just slightly off-white, foam head that's well over an inch thick when first drawn and served. Has excellent retention. Head eventually settles to a thick surface coating along w/ a very thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with big cluster swirls of foam on the beer's surface and some very nice lacing. Aromas of some bready, slightly toasted malts that's followed by a pungent fruity aroma of grape, orange pee, tangerine, mango, and papaya and some herbal and floral hop notes. Flavors of some bready, slightly toasted malts that's followed by the fruit notes I referred to above that’s followed by the floral, herbal and citrus hop bitterness. The flavors are all nicely integrated. Has a crisp, also smooth, slightly frothy, medium and full body mouth feel with moderate carbonation. The flavors all linger very nicely on my palate for the aftertaste. An interesting and tasty take here on this style.

Notes via stream of consciousness: I like the name for this one but I'm not really sure why. More importantly, I think the combination of white grape skins and sweet orange peel is interesting so let's get to it. It's poured a hazy golden-amber beneath a finger's width of dense off-white foam. I was expecting a little more from the aroma but there's enough there. I get both the grape and the orange peel so I have no complaints there. It's fresh and welcoming. Will it taste the same? The answer is yes, and no. It's a double IPA at 8.8% ABV with hops so there's got to be some variation. It's malty with a bready and wheaty character. Floral, citrusy, otherwise fruity, and spicy notes balance it. The label states that there are three hops in use here but I'm only familiar with the Mosaic. I'm not getting the berries often found in Mosaic but it is floral, grassy, spicy, and lightly piney. Whatever they're using it works for me. I'm finding some papaya and mango as well. You get a little bit of the alcohol, more than just an impression of it, which is actually nice; that helps to balance it. It finishes dry and I get the white grape at the point, along with spiciness, and then a hint of orange before it fades. In the mouth it's medium bodied and dextrinous, and gently crisp-then-smooth except for the snap of alcohol. All told there's something quite unique about it, and it's pleasant as well; or at least as pleasant as a double IPA can be! On that note it's not overdone with malt as some examples can be, and it doesn't feel heavy. I rather like it but that's up to you to decide for yourself.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a hazed golden orange color with a one finger head of puffy white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading over time and leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heavy of a white grape and wine smell mixed with aroma of orange peel and some tangerine, mango, and papaya. Along with these smells comes strong floral notes with other herbal smells mixed within. Rounding it all out is a bit of a bready aroma, as well as some notes of
Taste – The taste starts out with a bready malt flavor matched with tangerine and papaya, as well as a white wine like taste and some grapefruit hop. Other fruit flavors of a peach and apricot, as well as a bit of mango are there as well. There is also a light honey flavor which dissipates fast, at the emergence of the more herbal and floral hop flavors that are light upfront, but stronger at the end. With more sweet grape wine and a bit more tangerine, one is left with a moderately malty and hopped-up citrusy wine like flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is slightly thicker and more chewy with a carbonation level that is more moderate. For the flavors and the profile, it is rather well making for an easy slower sipper.
Overall – A slightly sweeter IPA with a rather interesting hop and flavor blend. Certainly, a fun one to at least give a try to.

The settlement came last week, shortly after Stone Brewing filed a countersuit against Sycamore calling its legal action a “sham.” The Escondido craft beer maker claimed that Sycamore didn’t disclose to the court — nor apparently to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office —that a different brewery with distribution in 14 states has been using the phrase “Keep It Juicy” on its IPA beer cans since 2017.
