The Lalaloopsy 13″ dolls are cuddly, cheerful, welcoming, inviting, and Lorelai (my granddaughter), says they are her best friends. And the fact that they each come with a pet, is even more fun. The packaging that they come in also becomes a toy, as it can be used as a their home.

Here is Lorelai playing with Alice, who is an oldie but goodie. (By the way, she has renamed her Checkers. She says Alice is a boys name. We think she is confusing the name Alice with Alister, which is her cousins name!)

She loves her so much, she even insists that she be safe in the car!

Do you think that this is why she chose the name Checkers?

My youngest granddaughter has just discovered Lalaloopsy on Netflix and YouTube.

Here’s what her mother has to say…

“Lalaloopsy first came out around 2010, after I had my first baby (a little boy) but for some reason the show never made it on my radar. Maybe it was because until my daughter was born, my house was filled with trains, super heroes and other typical little boy shows and toys from having 2 sons. Whatever the reasons were, we have only recently discovered Lalaloopsy on Netflix and YouTube. And I am so glad that we finally did!

Lalaloopsy is not only the cutest show but has had (and will have) the cutest toys! The show and the toys have bright, cheerful colors and means Each character is well thought out, with their own individual personalities and talents. It is nice that they are all made out of scraps of things and on the last stitch they came to life.

I believe that for the most part, children are naturally creative but if the creativity isn’t nourished it diminishes. My 8 year old boy likes watching it with his little sister (4), just so he can spot the non-typical things that the pets and other items are made out of, for example one of the character’s (Sticks Boom Crash) has a pet turtle that is made from a drum.”

Reviews for "Celebrating Night Magic: 1985 Reunion Events and Festivals"

1. John - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with "Night magic 1985". The plot was slow and predictable, and the characters were one-dimensional. I found it hard to connect with any of them, and as a result, I didn't care what happened to them. The magical elements in the story were underdeveloped and lacked any sense of wonder. Overall, I think the book fell short of its potential and failed to deliver an engaging and captivating story.
2. Sarah - 1/5 stars - I couldn't finish "Night magic 1985". The writing style was confusing and disjointed, making it hard to follow the story. The author tried to be clever with their use of metaphors and symbolism, but it just came off as pretentious. Additionally, the pacing was incredibly slow, and nothing seemed to be happening. I found myself bored and uninterested, forcing myself to read just to see if it would get better. Unfortunately, it didn't, and I ended up putting the book down halfway through.
3. Robert - 2/5 stars - "Night magic 1985" was a disappointment for me. The world-building was weak, and the magical elements felt tacked on and unexplained. The characters lacked depth and development, making it hard to care about their fates. The dialogue was also stilted and unnatural. The plot had potential, but it was executed poorly, with many loose threads and unresolved storylines. Overall, I found the book to be a lackluster read and wouldn't recommend it to others.
4. Amanda - 2/5 stars - I found "Night magic 1985" to be tedious and unengaging. The pacing was incredibly slow, and the narrative lacked the necessary tension to keep me hooked. The characters were forgettable and lacked any real motivation or agency. The world-building was undeveloped, with many inconsistencies and unexplained aspects. I struggled to finish the book and was ultimately left unsatisfied with the overall reading experience.
