Bronies rejoice. The Hub has renewed its surprisingly broad-skewing cartoon My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic for a fifth season.

The Hasbro Studios production will get another 26-episode run in 2015, following continued ratings success on the kid-friendly cable network from Discovery Communications and Hasbro.

My Little Pony recently got some extra visibility from the aptly titled documentary Bronies: The Extremely Unexpected Adult Fans of My Little Pony. The Kickstarter-funded project about the male fan base made more than five times its goal, with $322,000 in pledges.

For anybody not already aquainted with this latest TV incarnation of the 1980s toy line, here is a description from the network:

“My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic follows the magical Princess Twilight Sparkle and her trusted assistant Spike, who live in Ponyville in the enchanted land of Equestria, along with her colorful pony friends — honest Applejack, generous Rarity, kind Fluttershy, loyal Rainbow Dash and fun-loving Pinkie Pie. Together, they teach one another valuable lessons about the most powerful magic of all – the magic of friendship.”

If you weren’t keeping track, the word “magic” was just dropped four times in two sentences.

Other kinds of equines and equine-like creatures are featured in the show.

The National Geographic Science Magic Kit instructions conclude with a section that encourages children to come up with their own magic tricks using the materials in the kit. This promotes creativity and critical thinking skills, allowing children to apply what they have learned to create their own illusions.
