It s stated in Volume 6 and 7 that Trellis had been possessed by Sybrian when meeting Emily, this being done so he would stay obedient to the Elf King , but Trellis from Volume 1 has none of the characteristics of someone who s possessed by a Dark Scout and is explicitly trying to take his father down.
