Just because there was a witch trial in Monty Python it doesn t mean that they re trying to make people think about the similarities and differences between the Salem Witch trials and the movie, it s just a funny scene because it shows how stupid people were. Monty Python scene connects to the cruicible by showing just how unreasonable they were and that they had blamed people for the stupidest little thing they have done.
