Monkeys, like many other animals, show various reactions to magic tricks. Their responses can range from curiosity to confusion and even fear. Monkeys have highly developed cognitive abilities and are known for their curiosity towards novel stimuli, making them a fascinating subject for observing how they react to magic. When a magician performs a trick in front of monkeys, their reactions can be quite unpredictable. Some monkeys may observe the trick intently, trying to understand what is happening, while others may display signs of fear or aggression. This can be attributed to the monkeys' natural instincts and their ability to recognize potential threats or unfamiliar objects.

This can be attributed to the monkeys' natural instincts and their ability to recognize potential threats or unfamiliar objects. Curiosity is often a dominant reaction in monkeys. They may approach the magic trick or object with caution, inspecting it from different angles and attempting to make sense of what they are witnessing.

Being a retired lawyer, he naturally took advantage of an obvious loophole. . .and added a few amendments.
And while Justin might not be entirely ready for the unforeseen consequences of altering the deal -
- his new home town definitely isn't ready for Justin.

Reviews OverallA great read.

I don't normaly review, in fact I don't like to do more then give it the stars I think it deserves and move on.
This however has been a fantastically good read. I have enjoyed it. I have relished in the details. I have languished in the polish, and finally, I have found it to tickle itches that I didn't know I had.
For some it may not be their cup of tea, this is true of all works, you wouldn't see me reading anything horror or thriller based for that reason. This however has been engaging. I can't just point to tropes from one of the thousands of other books and hundreds of other series I have read, that let me predict the next move of Justin. I cannot predict the next paragraph or plot point in this series at all. And this EXCITES ME!
A series where in I have no forewarning, no prediction, not even a total outline of the plot. I am engrossed and I love it. Now this is not the author hold their cards close. No, this is the author doing what the really good ones do, and showing just the right amount of information, just the smallest most persient clues, to keep me guessing, keep me reading, keep me enthralled.
I won't lie and say it is perfect. To do so is to do the author a disservice, because for the work to be perfect the author must have no room to grow or be even better. The are frustrations, but those are my own, bourne of being stuck in the rut of predictability that I have fallen into from the rehashing of genre tropes. I am loving having so much of a new look at things. To see without my yellow tinted glasses.
I would say in the line of fairness, that there is work to do. But that is almost entirely by my own preference, for at this stage all I can say is that everything is so fast paced that I have yet to really feel depth for the main characters. This however is probably less the Authors fault and more my own, for preference and habit reasons. I see the vaguest outline of the Authors work, but so much has happened, in so short a space of time, that I am slightly overwhelmed. But as Taiko says, we should slow down, the time sensitive stuff is done no?
All round I have enjoyed this and cannot wait for more. Followed Favorited and early anticipated.
Julexar, Thanks for this update, I wrote to Kristy but I don't think she is in rol20 anymore. Anyway I test this version and it crash the sandbox when the minimum rarity is set to rare. this is what I get when I set the min. rarity to Rare Also, do you think that an option to select the items to make the shop could be added. For example if I select the rare list that I can select the items that I want to be added to the shop. If not there is no problem. Thanks for updating this API is really useful.
Their keen observation skills, combined with their ability to mimic and imitate actions, make them highly receptive to magical illusions. However, monkeys also exhibit confusion when faced with magic tricks. They may become perplexed by sudden changes or objects that appear or disappear seemingly out of thin air. Their inability to comprehend the trick may result in amusing reactions such as head tilting, fur-raising, or even trying to reach out and interact with the illusion. It is important to note that monkeys perceive the world differently than humans, and their understanding of cause and effect may differ as well. This can result in their reactions to magic being distinct from those of humans. For example, a simple card trick that humans find captivating and entertaining may not necessarily elicit the same response from monkeys. In conclusion, monkeys react to magic in various ways, ranging from curiosity to confusion and potential fear or aggression. Their natural instincts and ability to observe and imitate actions contribute to their fascination with magic tricks. However, it is essential to consider their unique perspective and understanding of the world when observing their reactions..
Reviews for "The Curious Monkey: Examining the Reactions to Magic Tricks"
1. John - 2 stars
I had high hopes for "Monkeys React to Magic" as I am a fan of both monkeys and magic. However, I was greatly disappointed. The host seemed more interested in showing off his magical skills than actually engaging with the monkeys. The reactions from the monkeys were minimal and it felt like they were more confused than entertained. Overall, the concept had potential, but the execution fell flat.
2. Sarah - 1 star
I really don't understand the appeal of "Monkeys React to Magic". The entire show felt like a gimmick, with the monkeys being used as props rather than being involved in any meaningful way. The tricks themselves were mediocre at best, and it felt like the host was just going through the motions. I found it to be a complete waste of time and would not recommend it to anyone.
3. Mark - 2 stars
"Monkeys React to Magic" was a letdown for me. The premise sounded interesting, but the actual content was underwhelming. The tricks were predictable and lacked any wow factor. Additionally, the interactions with the monkeys felt forced and unnatural. It seemed like the host was more interested in making jokes than in genuinely engaging with the animals. Overall, I was not impressed with the show's execution and would not watch it again.
4. Emily - 1 star
I found "Monkeys React to Magic" to be incredibly boring. The tricks were repetitive and lacked any real suspense or surprise. The monkeys' reactions were minimal and it felt like they were indifferent to the magic. The whole concept felt forced and it was clear that the monkeys were being used solely for entertainment purposes. I would not recommend wasting time on this show.
