Magic Circle Pilates is a unique and effective form of exercise that combines principles of Pilates with the use of a small, circular apparatus known as the Magic Circle. This fitness tool is a flexible metal ring with padded grips on the outside, which is used to add resistance and challenge to various Pilates exercises. The Magic Circle is used to engage the muscles of the core, including the abdominals, back, and hips, as well as the muscles of the arms and legs. It provides resistance and feedback, allowing users to deepen their awareness of their body and improve their form and alignment. In a Magic Circle Pilates class or session, participants perform a series of exercises that target specific muscle groups and promote overall strength, flexibility, and balance. These exercises may include movements such as squats, lunges, leg lifts, arm presses, and circles.

My 10 yr old wannabe magician was very shy because an actual magician runs the store, which helped in showing what kind of tricks were in the level he might like. These exercises may include movements such as squats, lunges, leg lifts, arm presses, and circles. The Magic Circle helps to activate and strengthen the smaller, stabilizing muscles that support the larger, more superficial muscles of the body. It also helps to improve coordination, increase joint mobility, and enhance body awareness and control.

The 10 Best Magic Stores near San Jose, California

"Their game selection is hit or miss, but not at their fault, it just depends who sells what to them. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I'm also low-key into graphic novels and they have everything I can imagine. They even had a couple video game art books which I was more than happy to buy!"

3. The House of Humor

747 El Camino Real, Redwood City, CA 94063

"This place has all kinds of costumes. I believe it was only missing anime-style costumes. It had a huge selection of wigs. It had funny novelty toys and prank objects. It had a lot of props, too. It had a decent selection of costume make up as well. By the way, it has TWO entrances. One entrance led to a curious alleyway where parking was close by while the other was next to a large avenue. Some prices were cheaper on Amazon, but of course they have a lot of items ready to purchase so you can't compare."

4. Boardwalk Magic

2214 E Cliff Dr, Santa Cruz, CA 95062

"0 customer service on boardwalk magic.com. Website does not work. Reached out to the shop, and they advised they will get back to me by next morning. You can see they saw the message, but ignored the inquiry. Looks like this shop went from decent to nothing. Update: owner got back to me and rectified the issue!"

"This was the best live event I have ever witnessed! Jay is a real, professional showman and delivered a fantastic performance, while making sure that everyone in the audience was able to actively participate and join him on stage. When we arrived at the venue, Jay personally greeted us at the door. Even while we were waiting in the lounge, he came out to do card tricks — and already blew our minds at that point. It only got better from there; during the show, with humble items like Rubik’s cubes and phonebooks, Jay nailed trick after trick, demonstrating awesome sleight of hand and maintaining great energy by joking and bantering with the crowd. He quite literally generated many (very audible) “WTF” and “Holy S***” moments from the audience (and myself). His show largely centers around his phenomenal ability to read the smallest human expressions and vocal tendencies. I won’t prematurely spoil his act, but I will say that I don’t think I could ever successfully tell a lie to Jay Alexander. While some parts of the performance felt like magic, these particular acts were just masterful demonstrations of skill — something that you really have to experience in person to fully believe. All in all, the Marrakech Theater is a really intimate venue. The atmosphere felt genuine, the entire audience was super engaged, and it was an awesome way to spend a Saturday night. I would rank it as a must-do experience for anyone living in SF. I will definitely be back!"

7. Misdirections Magic Shop

1236 9th Ave, San Francisco, CA 94122

"Excellent service. I live in Indiana so I had to order the trick I wanted. The trick was promptly delivered with no issues, service was first rate. I had the opportunity to visit the shop a few years ago and was really impressed by it, a great brick and mortar store. After the ease of this transaction I remain impressed. Can't wait to do business with them again!"

10. Zucchini's Tricks 'n' Things

711 Cannery Row, Monterey, CA 93940

"We came across this magic shop while riding a surrey on the trail. A big selection of classic magic trick toys and gags. Very fun to walk around this little shop and see (and buy!) all the toys. The worker, Martin(?), was very helpful and so good with my 3 kids when they were looking around and wondering how some of the toys worked. He showed them a few tricks! Great guy. We’ll definitely come visit whenever we’re in the area!"

"My kids and I had read about Shuffles on Yelp and were very excited to try it. When we arrived the music was blasting so loud that we had to shout to be heard. There was an afternoon dance party going on with a bunch of toddler's running around and having a good time. It took us a while to get the owner's attention so that we could place our order. There was a stack of coupons in a holder by the register that offered a discount on your purchase. I took one but when I attempted to use it, I was asked by the owner if I had come in with it? When I said no, he told me that I could not use it then and that I should save it for next time. It would have been nicer if those coupons had been out of sight behind the counter and he had waited until after I made my purchase and handed me the coupon with a smile and the words, "Here's a coupon for your next visit." The way it went down felt like a big tease. My kids and I ordered three different flavors of ice cream and took them outside to eat them because it was still very loud in the store. We did not like the ice cream and, sadly, ended up throwing it away after only a few bites. I can't speak to the magic shows as we did not attend one. There were some fun little tricks available for purchase in the shop. And a lot of people say that they love the ice cream. It's definitely different from any other ice cream I've tried. My advice to you would be, try it for yourself. It is a locally owned business and it's always nice to support local folks when they have a product and service that you enjoy."

"This shop really came through for me on their customer service. I appreciate that running a small business is challenging. I had a little problem with an order I placed, and not only did they rectify the situation with incredible speed, but they were polite, understanding, and gracious the whole time through. I cannot recommend them enough. And if you ever get a chance to visit them in person, their shop is incredible, its a little bit like being in a museum, a show room, and a toy store all at once."
