True believers have long suspected that it was where the witches were killed.

The work, which spanned five years, also relied on previous research done by historian Sidney Perley, who had also earmarked the area after extensive research. We asked locals where they thought it was and every last one of them told us to go to this location, Wiccan Michele Ruscitti, who visited Salem in 2006 with her husband, told the New York Post.

From magic to medicine: Infamous site of 19 Salem Witch Trial hangings is now a WALGREENS

A wooded area where 19 women were hanged after being accused of being witches in Salem, Massachusetts, centuries ago, is now a plot of land overlooking a Walgreens, researchers have revealed. The location, known as Proctor's Ledge, was confirmed to be the location of the 1692 hangings following the Salem Witch Trials by seven scholars with the Gallows Hill Project. Salem Mayor Kimberley Driscoll now plans to erect a small memorial for the victims, at Boston Street between Pope and Proctor streets. Scroll down for video

Where there is now a Walgreens in Salem, Massachusetts was once an area known as Proctor's Ledge, there 19 hangings were carried out following the 1692 Salem Witch Trials

'This is part of our history and this is an opportunity for us to be honest about what took place,' she told The Boston Globe. It was previously believed that 19 of those who were executed during the witch trials were executed on Salem's Gallows Hill. Another five accused of witchcraft died in jail, and one was crushed to death. But through aerial photography, witness accounts and advanced mapping technology, the researchers were able to determine that Proctor's Ledge was the real execution spot. '[We] asked locals where they thought it was and every last one of them told us to go to this location,' Wiccan Michele Ruscitti, who visited Salem in 2006 with her husband, told the New York Post. 'I found it odd, since the town embraces their history, that there were no markers there. None … just a Walgreens on the corner,' she added.

- Sarah - 1 star - I had such high hopes for Magical Meat Boutique, but I was extremely disappointed. The food was overpriced and the quality was subpar. The steak I ordered was tough and chewy, and the portion size was smaller than I expected. The service was also lackluster, with the staff seeming disinterested and unattentive. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality meat dining experience.
- John - 2 stars - I had heard great things about Magical Meat Boutique, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. The menu was limited and the options were not very enticing. I ordered the lamb chops, and they were overcooked and dry. The flavors were underwhelming, and I was left unsatisfied. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also lacking, with a lackluster decor and uncomfortable seating. I was disappointed with my experience and would not go back.
- Emily - 1 star - The Magical Meat Boutique was a complete letdown. The prices were outrageously high for such average quality food. I ordered the Wagyu beef burger, and it was way too greasy and lacked any distinct flavors. The presentation was also lacking, with the burger looking sloppy and unappetizing. The service was slow, and the staff seemed disorganized and unprofessional. I regret spending my money at this establishment and would not recommend it to others.
- Michael - 2 stars - I had high expectations for the Magical Meat Boutique, but I was left unimpressed. The meat dishes were mediocre and lacked the wow factor I was hoping for. The restaurant itself had a cold and sterile ambiance, and the lighting was too harsh. The service was friendly enough, but the wait times were quite long. Overall, I found the experience to be underwhelming and wouldn't go back.
