Ash hair colours can vary from a light ash blonde to a dark brown ash, and is a popular hair colour because it adds a silvery tone to the hair, and avoids any brassiess. For ash brown hair, the Vitamino Colour A OX CC Cream for Brunettes is a colour-correcting conditioner that works to counteract any unwanted red tones in your ash brown hair.

Identification
Common witch's hair is a 15-30 cm long hanging hair lichen. It is pale green and intricately branched, does not have a central strand, and does not have soredia (powdery microscopic clumps of algal and hyphal cells). Small brown saucer-shaped fruiting bodies (apothecia) often dot the branches.

Similar Species

Vancouver witch's hair (Alectoria vancouverensis) is a similar, more greyish-green hanging hair lichen. It is only found at low elevations, whereas common witch's hair is more common at middle and upper elevations.

Human Uses
Alectoria fibres were used by the Nuxalk as false hair for decorating dance masks.

Intriguing Info
There are two common witch's hair subspecies: sarmentosa and vexillifera. Ssp. vexillifera is blue-listed in BC.
Deer browse on Alectoria species, particularly in old-growth forests in the winter when there is less available forage.

I was very disappointed with Magic Fountains Delphinium. The plants were advertised as being drought-tolerant and low-maintenance, but they required constant watering and frequent maintenance to look decent. The flowers were supposed to be stunning and vibrant, but they were quite lackluster. Overall, I do not recommend investing in these delphiniums if you are looking for plants that are easy to care for and will provide beautiful blooms.

I have been gardening for years, and I have never been as disappointed as I was with Magic Fountains Delphinium. These plants were supposed to be disease-resistant, but they quickly succumbed to powdery mildew and other fungal infections. Despite my efforts to treat them, the plants wilted and eventually died. I wasted both my time and money on these delphiniums, and I would not recommend them to any gardener.

Magic Fountains Delphiniums didn't live up to the hype for me. While they did produce flowers, they were not as showy or colorful as I had expected. Additionally, these plants required constant staking to prevent them from flopping over, which was quite time-consuming. Overall, I found them to be high-maintenance and not worth the effort.

I was unimpressed with the overall performance of Magic Fountains Delphiniums. They did not thrive in my garden despite following the recommended care instructions. The plants were weak and failed to produce the vibrant and tall flower spikes that were promised. I found them to be underwhelming and would not invest in these delphiniums again.
