1. John - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with "Magic breaks" by Ilona Andrews. The story felt scattered and the pacing was all over the place. The main character, Kate Daniels, didn't feel as strong or likable as she did in previous books. The plot also had too many subplots that didn't add much to the overall story. I found myself struggling to stay engaged and ended up skimming through a lot of the book. Overall, a letdown in the series.
2. Sarah - 2 stars - "Magic breaks" was a major letdown for me. The writing felt rushed and the plot was confusing. The world-building, which was one of the highlights of previous books in the series, was lacking in this installment.
