Readings of simplified texts and study of Korean culture are included. Language lab is required.

Developed in accordance with performance-based principles and methodology, the course is learner-centered using primary resources and function/task-oriented balancing acquiring and using skills. The integration of speaking, listening, reading, writing, and culture is stressed. Grammar points are systematically introduced with simple but adequate explanations and abundant examples, exercises, and drills. Aspects of Korean culture and history are covered as well.
