The Dark Path: Experiencing the Dark Magical Circle

By admin

A Dark Magical Circle is a term often used in the field of occultism to refer to a specific type of ritual space that is believed to enable practitioners to perform powerful magical practices. It is said to create a connection between the physical world and the spiritual realm, allowing for the invocation of supernatural entities, the casting of spells, and the manifestation of desired outcomes. The exact origin and history of dark magical circles are mysterious and elusive. However, it is believed that the practice of using such circles dates back centuries, and similar circle formations can be found in various magical traditions and cultures around the world. Despite their different names and variations in rituals, the purpose of these circles remains constant – to create a sacred and protected space for magical work. Dark magical circles are typically constructed by drawing or inscribing a circle on the ground, often with symbols or sigils that hold particular significance to the practitioner or the purpose of the ritual.

Finally, the lips. For the lips, black seemed mandatory. Still in my gloss craze (see my last blogpost on the Halloween Beauty Makeup) I decided to go with a glossy black lip that would be dripping down onto her chin, like dark blood. The blood feel to the look comes from the fact that my black pencil is a very smudgy one and that it hase quite a warm, purply undertone (some black have a lot of blue inside them). If your pencil isn’t as warm, you can first line the lips with a red or a plum shade and then go in with the black.

Dark magical circles are typically constructed by drawing or inscribing a circle on the ground, often with symbols or sigils that hold particular significance to the practitioner or the purpose of the ritual. This circle acts as a barrier to contain the energy and intentions raised during the ritual, preventing the interference of negative or unwanted forces. The circle is sometimes supplemented by other magical tools such as candles, crystals, incense, and ritualistic offerings, all aimed at amplifying the energies at play.

Sorceress Makeup Look

I can now say I painted trees on someone’s forehead and made it look good ^^.

I have actually wanted to do this look for quite a long time. I truly love makeup where there are delicate designs with eyeliner. And from this I imagined my Sorceress. She would be regal, dark, stunning, and slightly psycho.

The first element in this look is the cheekbones. I imagined my sorceress as a person living off nothing much except her herbs and potions, so she would be quite a thin person. Also, I wanted her cheekbones to be very sharp so that she has an other world feel to her. To achieve very sharp cheekbones, without giving a skull-like look to my model, I started with a very, very warm contour that I then deepened with a darker black shade. This helped create an off gray shadow that counteracts any ashy feel that can come from contouring with black.

Then, the star of the show is the brows and the forehead design. First off, the brows themselves had to be very dark and very full. I exaggerated the arch, filled in the inner corner a bit more than usual as well as drag the tail out further than the natural brows. For this look to tie in well and remain elegant, do not overdraw (like boxy Instagram brows) the brows. If you have thin brows, fill them in with a slightly darker shadow staying inside the line of the brows as much as possible. There is nothing wrong with very filled in brows, it’s just that seing that the design on top is drawn on, if the brown appear too drawn on, it will make the design appear heavy and thick. Which is the opposite of what we want.

As for the design itself, keep in mind that for trees to look realistic, there can be no straight lines. Also, the trunk has to be much ticker than the small twigs at the tips. The silver fruit rhinestones really give that wonderful complexity to the look. It recalls slightly the forbidden fruit in many different legends; Persephone’s pomegranate, or even just Eve’s apple. The design has to remain airy to also recall a tiara that the sorceress could have etched into her skin.

Then, when it comes to the Voodoo doll, I followed a tutorial on youtube and used strips of fabric instead of thread, and for the skull I repainted and re-sculpted a very ugly cheep store bought one.

If you enjoy what you see and hear, go to Youtube and give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel, it really helps out heaps.

Dark magicanl circle

The act of creating a dark magical circle is considered a powerful ritual in itself. Practitioners often perform a series of preparatory actions like purification baths, meditation, or prayers to cleanse and attune themselves to the energy of the circle. Once inside the circle, the practitioner may recite invocations, spells, or chants while focusing their intention and will towards their desired outcome. The belief is that the circle acts as a conduit, magnifying and directing the practitioner's intent towards the spiritual realm, where it can be manifested into reality. It is important to note that the term "dark" in dark magical circle refers not to malicious or evil practices, but rather to the-depth and hidden nature of the magic that takes place within them. The term "dark" can also connote the idea of accessing and harnessing primal or chaotic forces, rather than adhering to conventional concepts of light and goodness. Throughout history, dark magical circles have been associated with various magical practices, including ceremonial magic, witchcraft, and certain branches of the occult. While many people view these practices as fictional or superstitious, there are those who believe in the genuine power of dark magical circles and dedicate themselves to the study and practice of these ancient arts. Ultimately, whether one believes in the efficacy of dark magical circles or not, they remain an interesting and alluring aspect of human fascination with the supernatural and the potential of harnessing unseen forces. They continue to capture the imagination of both occult enthusiasts and skeptics alike, offering a glimpse into the mysteries and possibilities of the unknown..
