"Once the Witch shows herself, the House returns to normal."

In the Diary of Ellen, Ellen states that, to a witch, the roses are like her flesh and blood, as the petals seemed to bear patterns like blood vessels that were nearly identical to the veins on her hands. LifeisXbox s The Witch s House MV review I never heard read about the original The Witch s House before, I was oblivious to its existence, and all other famous RPG Maker games for that matter.

REVIEW | The Witch’s House MV

LifeisXbox’s The Witch’s House MV review | I never heard/read about the original The Witch’s House before, I was oblivious to its existence, and all other famous RPG Maker games for that matter. The Witch’s House MV was a great experience, even for a “chicken” for horror like me, and it’s clearly an upgrade when compared to the original. This console port of The Witch’s House MV was developed by Fummy and published by DANGEN Entertainment.

Most Memorable Moment

Some of the ways you can die were surprising to me, I’m not gonna go into specifics to not spoil the surprise for you if you also haven’t played the original. I expected jumpscares but didn’t expect some of the non-jumpscare gore scenes, some were uncomfortable to watch. There’s also a pretty big surprise plot-wise you’ll discover, I’m not gonna say what it is nor when you’re finding out about it though.

What we Liked!

  • Visually fitting | As I’ve already mentioned, I haven’t played the original The Witch’s House, but from what I’ve seen of it this is a pretty nice upgrade. While it remains to have the same camera angle and RPG Maker menus, all textures and character models are much more detailed. The atmosphere given by the visuals is a nice one, giving the player a sense of mystery, fear, and desperation whenever appropriate.
  • A good soundtrack | Speaking of atmosphere, the soundtrack also doesn’t disappoint in the slightest. You will feel the suspense, mystery, and loneliness a lot more thanks to it. It helped in intensifying all the feelings you were supposed to feel like all good soundtracks do.
  • Simple to play | There are no secrets to playing The Witch’s House MV. You can move, interact with objects/scenery, open up the RPG Maker menu to use items you obtained, and run. It’ll take a little while for you to need to run, so don’t be like me and completely forget about it, because it’s crucial to run in a few instances. You can also save the game by interacting with the black cat that shows up in multiple places throughout the house.
  • Difficulties | At first, you’ll only be able to select between two difficulties, and there isn’t much difference between them. The only difference between them is that one sets you on your last save when you die while the other sets you back to the main menu, making you waste a tiny bit more time, but since the game loads fast, it doesn’t really make a difference. When you get the true ending you unlock the third difficulty option, this one has new puzzles, more ways to die, more scenes, and additional info about the witch. It’s worth mentioning that you don’t need to replay the whole game to get a different ending, just replaying from the last save is good enough, and that won’t take more than two minutes.

Mixed Feelings

  • Nothing | You could say this section is a ghost because you can just scroll through it, as there isn’t anything to see here.

What we Disliked

  • Nothing, again | Yep, that’s right, I only have positive things to say about The Witch’s House MV.

1. John - 1 star
I was really disappointed with the Black Girl Magic Wine Red Blend. The taste was very unpleasant and didn't live up to the hype. It had a strange and off-putting aftertaste that lingered. I definitely won't be purchasing this wine again.
2. Emily - 2 stars
I had high hopes for the Black Girl Magic Wine Red Blend, but unfortunately, it fell short. It lacked depth and complexity, and the flavors were quite one-dimensional. It was overly sweet for my taste and had a syrupy texture. I wanted to enjoy it, but it just wasn't up to par.
3. Michael - 1 star
I found the Black Girl Magic Wine Red Blend to be undrinkable. The taste was extremely harsh and acidic, leaving a burning sensation in my throat. It was nothing like the smooth and balanced red wines I'm used to. I'm not sure if I got a bad bottle, but I won't be taking the risk of trying it again.
4. Sarah - 2 stars
I had high expectations for the Black Girl Magic Wine Red Blend, but it did not meet them. The flavors were muddled and indistinct, making it difficult to appreciate any specific notes. It lacked the structure and complexity I look for in a good red wine. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and I wouldn't recommend it.
