The Amityville Curse is a well-known topic in the realm of paranormal and haunted houses. The story revolves around a house located in Amityville, New York, which is said to be cursed. The curse allegedly began in 1974 when Ronald DeFeo Jr. murdered his entire family while they slept in the house. After the murders, the house was put up for sale and eventually purchased by the Lutz family. The Lutz family moved into the house in 1975 but only lasted 28 days before fleeing in terror, claiming they were experiencing paranormal activities and being tormented by evil entities.

The Lutz family moved into the house in 1975 but only lasted 28 days before fleeing in terror, claiming they were experiencing paranormal activities and being tormented by evil entities. These alleged experiences include strange noises, foul odors, swarms of flies, mysterious slime oozing from the walls, and even physical attacks by unseen forces. The family also reported seeing glowing red eyes and apparitions of the deceased DeFeo family.

The Osceola Magic of the NBA G League have agreed to trade guard Zavier Simpson to the Motor City Cruise — the Detroit Pistons’ G-League affiliate — for Reggie Perry, Devontae Cacok, and a second-round pick, according to TNT NBA insider Chris Haynes.

On Wednesday, the Pistons signed Simpson to a one-year deal, according to his agent Daniel Hazan of Hazan Sports Management. The deal is reportedly an Exhibit 10 contract. Simpson, 26, went undrafted in 2020 out of the University of Michigan.

Despite inking contracts with Science City Jena of the German ProA and the Los Angeles Lakers that year, the 6-foot guard did not appear in a single game in either league with either team.

Per a few NBA betting sites, the Detroit Pistons hold 28th-ranked odds to win next season’s championship in 2024. Some sportsbooks are showing better odds for the Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, and Orlando Magic.

The story of the Amityville Curse gained widespread attention with the release of a book titled "The Amityville Horror" by Jay Anson in 1977. The book was followed by a movie adaptation in 1979, which further popularized the curse. Since then, the Amityville Curse has become a popular subject in the realm of paranormal investigations and has been the inspiration for numerous movies, books, and documentaries. However, skepticism and controversy surround the story, with many questioning the authenticity of the Lutz family's claims. Some skeptics argue that the Amityville Curse was nothing more than a cleverly crafted hoax to capitalize on the popularity of the paranormal at that time. Others believe that the Lutz family may have exaggerated or fabricated their experiences for financial gain. Despite the controversy, the Amityville Curse remains ingrained in popular culture and continues to fascinate and terrify those interested in the supernatural. The house itself has passed through different owners since the Lutz family's ordeal and has been renovated multiple times, but its legacy as a place of alleged paranormal activity persists..
