I’m not a fan of massage bars, I prefer massage oils instead. I have been using the Weleda Lavender Massage oil that a friend got for me.

However, the Wiccy Massage bar is slightly different because unlike other bars, it does not moisturise, but aims at soothing the tired nerves. One side of the massage bar is covered with Aduki Beans and what you need to do is apply the massage bar and gently rub the affected area with the aduki beans. When the bar is fairly new, you can apply a teeny bit of pressure to get a better massage with the beans and it relaxes for a while mainly because the cooling peppermint is nice and tingly on your skin.

What I like about the massage bar is the fragrance. Being an Indian, I love my spices. And this massage bar gives out a wonderful aroma of cinnamon and peppermint. Though the predominant fragrance is of peppermint, when you warm this bar in your palms, you get the gentle fragrance of cinnamon. I love it!

What I don’t like about the bar is that it does not live up to the claims. After a couple of uses, the bar tends to crumble into pieces. If you notice my bar is just on the verge of breaking up, its become quite thin with the usage.

Price and Shelf life

My husband got this for me from one of his trips and I don’t remember how much it cost there. In India it costs INR 720 for a 70gm bar

Finally, something that you can buy in India too 🙂 You can buy this here.

How to use
This is not a massage bar that can be used as a moisturiser. It claims to provide relief to aching muscles. Use it on your feet, base of the neck. The warming effect of the cinnamon oils and cool effect of the peppermint is bound to relax you.

As with all massage bar, store it in the fride ( not the freezer!) When you want to use it, hold it between your hands for a few seconds and it will begin to melt. Apply the massage bar over the affected areas. Massage bars melt at body temperature, keep yours somewhere cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight.

Will I recommend this?

No, I did not quite like it. It wasn’t much use to the tired nerves. Yes, it does have a tingling sensation because of the peppermint and then it slowly warms the area where you applied it because of the cinnamon oil, but the entire effect lasts for barely 10 – 15 minutes. A massage oil is bound to be more relaxing.

FEATURES
A real strain: Inspiring runners and non-runners around the world to pull a muscle.
Feeling kneady? Use the side buttered with aduki beans for an extra stimulating experience.
Some like it hot: Cinnamon leaf oil is a brownish-yellow oil, which has a warm, rich and spicy aroma.

What is this?

Lush says, Wiccy is a “spicy, tingly muscle-soothing bar with aduki beans for a deeper rub. The Wiccy Magic Muscles Bar is the one for sorting out aching muscles. The first time you use one of these, it feels very strange, as if a very small radiator has been turned on inside the part of your body you just massaged. The Aduki beans are like firm fingertips working to relieve muscle pain and tension. They help to stimulate areas where circulation is slow. Peppermint and cinnamon spice oils work together as a powerful tag team to soothe aches and pains, alternately warm and cool to release tension caused by exertion.

I don’t mine will last too long anyway now! When it crumbles, the mix of the beads and the bar gets absolutely messy.

don’t think it’s worth it at all

The only thing I have loved in the boxes till now is the TBS hair oil and the lip balm they sent in the Feb box. And well, I still prefer the Omved lip balms to the Figgs and Rouge one 🙂

Yes, the figs and rouge melt really easily in India. Mind is squishy and very unpleasant.

You nailed the word- squishy! it is quite icky to the touch.

I must say, "Witch from Mercury ep 11" was a complete letdown. The plot was all over the place, leaving me confused and uninterested. The acting was mediocre at best, with wooden performances from the entire cast. The visuals and special effects were also underwhelming, failing to create a captivating and immersive world.
