Wixxcans, also known as the Wixárika or Huichol people, are an indigenous group that resides in the western central region of Mexico. The Wixxcans have a deeply rooted spiritual belief system and practice a unique form of shamanism. At the core of Wixxcan worship is the belief in the importance of maintaining a close connection with the natural world. They perceive all components of nature, such as mountains, rivers, and animals, as sacred and infused with spiritual energy. This worldview is central to their religious practices and forms the foundation of their worship. One of the key deities that the Wixxcans worship is the sun god, Tatewari.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your show time. Late seating is at the discretion of the House Manager.
Is there reserved seating?
Seating at The Magic Parlour is general admission for fewer than 60 guests. The room is arranged in a cabaret style giving everyone a wonderfully close-up experience of the magic.
Seats may be assigned by our front-of-house staff.
How long is the show?
The Magic Parlour is a 90-minute experience. There is no intermission. Guests adding The Encore Room will have an additional 25-minute show immediately following the performance.
Is there a dress code?
Cocktail attire is recommended for everyone attending this magical night! Guests in casual or torn jeans, shorts, t-shirts, tennis shoes, flip-flops, or ball caps may not be admitted.
Is there an age limit?
The Magic Parlour is a grown-up night out. There is nothing unsuitable for children in the show. However, it is designed for an adult audience. The show is open to guests age 12 and up. Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Are food and drinks included?
A complimentary drink (beer, wine, cocktail or soft drink) at the bar is included with your ticket purchase. We recommend you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the performance to redeem your complimentary drink. Should you want additional drinks, they are available for purchase directly from our bar or through an online tab at your table. A small bites menu is also available for purchase beginning one hour before the performance, although food is not permitted in the performance space. We invite you to dine at the iconic Petterino's before or after the show!
What is your cancellation policy?
Due to the limited inventory available for this intimate experience, all ticket sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.
Can you accommodate my accessibility needs?
Absolutely! The Magic Parlour is fully accessible, and all floors may be accessed by elevator upon your entry into our front doors. If you or someone in your party uses a wheelchair or would like additional time to get to your seats, please let us know and we will make arrangements.
While we do not offer assisted listening devices, all seats are within 20 feet of the performance.

In addition to Tatewari, the Wixxcans also worship other gods, or deities, that represent various aspects of nature and the spiritual realm. These deities include Father Sun, Grandmother Moon, and Corn, which is considered a sacred plant. Each deity has a specific role and importance within the Wixxcan belief system. To connect with these deities and the spiritual world, the Wixxcans engage in ritual practices. These rituals can involve offerings, music, dance, and the consumption of peyote, a hallucinogenic cactus believed to enhance spiritual experiences. The Wixxcans believe that these rituals enable them to commune with the gods and receive messages, guidance, and healing. Wixxcan worship is deeply embedded in their culture and daily life. It is not confined to designated places of worship but rather encompasses their entire existence. They believe that the spiritual and physical worlds are interconnected, and therefore, religious observations are an integral part of their interactions with nature and everyday activities. The entire reading experience felt like a chore, and I cannot recommend this book to anyone.
