Brewery Draconum is a family-owned and operated full-service brewpub and beer garden in Santa Clarita's Old Town Newhall, right on Main Street. Siblings Ben and Caroline Law share a passion for tasty brews and created this business together — which pays homage in its name to Ben's fascination with Latin and dragons — hence, Brewery "Draconum," — which means "dragon" in Latin.

This brewery's mission is to bring people together over tasty food and good beer. There are generally 12 in-house beers on tap, alongside a selection of guest taps locally sourced from throughout California. Ben and Caroline brew the beer right on-site, and they're always experimenting with new flavors depending on the trends and tastes of the season.

Must-try classic brewpub bites include the Bavarian-style soft pretzel served with Draconum Saison beer cheese and the "loaded totchos," Tater Tots loaded with Saison beer cheese, pico de gallo, crema, fresh guacamole and cilantro.

There's an alfresco beer garden out back which features a two-lane bocce ball court, cornhole and plenty of lawn games to enjoy a competitive tournament (to decide who buys the next round).

Brewery Draconum is an ideal destination in northern Los Angeles to meet a casual date for drinks, host a family outing or hang out with a group of friends for an afternoon or evening of fun. It's even within walking distance of the Newhall Metrolink station for easy access to LA along the Antelope Valley line.
