In order to make the face completely symmetrical, for each extreme pose, Reitherman drew one-half of the face, folded the animation paper in half, and traced the other half. The hand mirror that contains a shard of the Magic Mirror starts the short animated episodes off when Evie asks it to show her the future to see what happens when their stories unfold.
Seraphina, being a vain and self-centered queen, would spend hours on end gazing into the mirror, seeking validation and reassurance of her beauty and power. Evil Queen & Magic Mirror
Evil Queen & Magic Mirror are a Premium Box Tsum Tsum. They are a Limited Event Tsum Tsum and are not available from purchasing Premium Boxes outside of the event. They were first introduced during the Japan Event Villain's Challenge: The Dark Heart (March 2021) and the International Event Villains Challenge: The Dark Heart (November 2021). They are known as Queen & Mirror on the Japanese version.
The mirror no longer depicted Seraphina as the fairest in the land, but rather displayed a hideous hag with a heart as black as night. Enraged by this revelation, the queen could not accept what she saw. She became consumed by her obsession, growing more paranoid with each passing day. No longer content with merely ruling her kingdom, Seraphina began to hunt down anyone who possessed a hint of beauty or displayed kindness in their hearts. She believed that by eliminating all those who might potentially challenge her beauty, she could reclaim her title as the fairest in the land. The queen's reign of terror spread like wildfire, as fear gripped the hearts of her subjects. Beauty was no longer revered or admired; it became a curse, subjecting its possessor to the wrath of the wicked queen. The once vibrant and joyful kingdom turned into a desolate wasteland, as its inhabitants cowered in fear and hid their kindness to survive. Meanwhile, the magical mirror watched with sadness as Seraphina's tyranny unfolded. It had hoped that by revealing the true darkness within her, the queen would realize the error of her ways and strive for redemption. However, the mirror had underestimated the depth of Seraphina's vanity and cruelty. One day, as the queen stood before the mirror, her reflection more monstrous than ever, a young girl named Eliza stumbled upon the mirror's secret. Despite her rough exterior, Eliza possessed a heart full of kindness and compassion. Seeing the devastation caused by Seraphina, she knew she had to act. Using her wit and cunning, Eliza devised a plan to shatter the mirror and break the queen's hold over her kingdom. With the help of a group of rebels, Eliza infiltrated the queen's palace and managed to steal the magical mirror. In a climactic battle, Eliza faced Seraphina, armed with the broken pieces of the mirror. As she held them up, the wicked queen's reflection shattered, revealing the true horror of her actions. Unable to face the truth, Seraphina screamed in agony as she disappeared into a cloud of smoke, leaving nothing behind but the remnants of her shattered mirror. With the queen gone, the kingdom slowly began to heal. Kindness and beauty once again became virtues to be admired, and the people rejoiced as they rebuilt their broken community. They would forever remember the vicious queen who had been consumed by her own obsession with beauty, and the brave young girl who had shattered her hold over their lives.
