Impact of Colonialism on Tui Nation: Healing Historical Wounds

By admin

Tui nation liwe kalawy is a concept that is deeply rooted in the culture and traditions of the Tui people. The term "tui" refers to the indigenous people of a specific region, and "nation liwe kalawy" translates to "harmony with nature" in the Tui language. The Tui people have a unique relationship with the natural world around them. They believe that they are not separate from nature, but rather a part of it. This belief forms the basis of their philosophy, which emphasizes the interconnectedness of all living beings and the importance of living in harmony with the environment. Living in harmony with nature means respecting and valuing the natural resources that sustain life.

Do not stay at this hotel. My family and I needed a well deserved holiday and thought this hotel looked amazing. Sadly, it's just good photography. After 3 days, we were looking for flights home. Rather than ramble, I'll bullet point some issues. *Rude reception staff *Terrible food *Pigeon droppings all over the snack area *People smoking in supposedly non smoking areas *The all day drinking culture encourages aggressive behavior which is not ideal for children. *No real process to complain, just got fobbed off *Not really family friendly! More suited to lads and people who want to booze alcohol all day *People reserve sun beds all day and don't use them The worst part was the check in, we had to wait hours for a room. When I tried to extend out room due to late flights home, I was advised but a very grump receptionist that this was only possible the day before. Now for some positives. *Good size pool, although the child area is VERY small and over crowded. *Good entertainment Out of the hotel there's not much to do apart from the beach. Benidorm is not far away but very run down. As a family, we are gutted we wasted our money on such a poor quality hotel. The 5 star reviews must be fake.

Great room, but for cleanliness, I'd have to give a 9 out of 10. The one thing I noticed wasn't major. Staff were very good we had a noisy neighbour just one night but staff sorted it straight away. I don't mind a little noise when on holiday but they were screaming and shouting. Pool was great. You need to get your towel on a sunbed for 9.30 to 10am if you want a good spot. I couldn't comment on the restaurant food as in breakfast and dinner, but the pool snacks were really nice. I'd say the hotel is more for young groups as they play a lot of house music around the pool. The location is perfect and the old town is only a 30-minute walk.

Amazing for the kids! They really made an effort with the Halloween theme with loads to see and do. The pool was great but we really loved the slides and spent alot of our time round there. The location was great as had a beach 2 minute walk away with restaurants right by it and a supermarket. But if you wanted to head into main benidorm or old town the number 2 bus stopped right out side the entrance of the hotel it was 8 euros for 5 of us.

Stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and can't fault anything. Rooms are very clean with perfect air conditioning, beautiful views from the balcony. The pool is very large and generally clean. Staff are very welcoming and pleasant throughout the stay. Entertainment was fabulous for all ages, Nico was absolutely fabulous and always had time to have a chat and a laugh. A huge thanks to all the entertainers who really made me feel welcome and put a smile on my face.

This hotel never fails expectation. I came on holiday at this resort in 2019 for a week and went back in 2023 for a day trip and spent the day as I was on holiday at another resort (Magic Robin Hood). There is no comparison, Tropical splash is just brilliant it may be smaller and not as much activities as the Robin Hood. Yet, Tropical splash is just clean, efficient, tidy and the food and ambiance is just brilliant. It's located in a fantastic area next to shops and the beach, if you pick Tropical splash you won't be disappointed.

Reviews for "Tui Nation's Contemporary Artists: Embracing Modern Expressions of Indigenous Identity"

1. John - 1 star
I found "Tui nation liwe kalawy" to be extremely disappointing. The plot was weak and confusing, with no clear direction. The characters were one-dimensional and lacked any depth or development. I couldn't connect with any of them and didn't care about their fates. The film's pacing was also off, making it feel longer than it actually was. Overall, I do not recommend watching this film.
2. Emily - 2 stars
I have to say that "Tui nation liwe kalawy" was a letdown for me. The storyline had potential, but it failed to deliver on its promises. I found the dialogue to be clunky and forced, making it difficult to stay engaged with the film. The acting was also subpar, with performances that lacked authenticity and emotion. I was hoping for a thrilling and thought-provoking experience, but instead, I was left feeling underwhelmed and unsatisfied.
3. Sarah - 2.5 stars
While "Tui nation liwe kalawy" had some interesting concepts, it ultimately failed to impress me. The film tried to tackle deep and complex themes, such as love and identity, but it fell short in its execution. The pacing was slow, and the plot lacked coherence, leaving me confused at times. The visuals were stunning, but they couldn't make up for the film's shortcomings. Overall, I was left feeling dissatisfied and wishing for more substance in this movie.
