For some, the weight of these burdens can feel overwhelming, as if it is an eternal curse hanging over their heads. This is my curse

It can be a physical ailment, a mental health issue, or a constant string of failures and disappointments. It can be the feeling of never being good enough, of always falling short of expectations. It can be the loss and heartbreak that comes with the passing of loved ones or the betrayal of those we trust.

This is my curse

KE frontman Howard Jones sings here about a love that has left him, and his curse is that he cannot be with her. The video, directed by Lex Halaby, plays out a rather mystical storyline, but the band's guitarist, Adam Dutkiewicz, has a much more grounded interpretation of the song. "That's just about chicks," he said in his Songfacts interview. "A lot of Howard's songs are about girls. It's always a topic guys can relate to."

  • David from Texas This is a great website! I always thought there was a website like this but I barely looked for it today. Nice. This is a great underrated song. "There is love, burning to find you" makes me think of me and my wife and how while my love for her isn't always there but I stay with her and let the possibility of true love burn to find her again one day.
