The Psychological Impact of Relying on Healing Magic Raw Instead of Traditional Medical Treatments

By admin

"The wrong way to use healing magic raw" Healing magic is a powerful tool in the hands of those who know how to use it properly. It has the ability to cure wounds, ease pain, and restore vitality. However, like any magic, it can be misused or used inappropriately. One such way is by using healing magic raw. Using healing magic raw refers to using it without caution or understanding of its limitations. This can lead to unintended consequences and potentially harm the person or creature being healed.

MAL | LNDB | Bookwalker JP Author: Kurokata
Illustrator: KeG (same as Skeleton Knight)
Publisher: Media Factory (MF Books)
Status: Completed, 12 volumes, last release March 2020. Web novel is ongoing.
Manga adaptation: Yes (7 volumes and ongoing as of Oct 2020) Description (from NU): On a harsh rainy day, a high school student without any particular special skills, Usato Ken, got dragged into another world summoning with two others; a good-looking guy and a beautiful girl, both of whom he strangely started getting along with just today. As an especially talentless individual that doesn’t stand out, he thought that he would be treated as useless. However, the others were unexpectedly kind. —- “Maybe just like this it will go well?” Usato who found hope in another world thought that, but the reality was different. He had a certain magical talent hidden in him and he was forced to fall into hell under the name of “training”.
※This story is another world comedy. My thoughts: I have not read the web novel or the manga, but I have heard good things about it from my college roommate. MF Books is the same publisher as Mushoku Tensei, so J-Novel has yet to land a deal with them, but hopefully we can prove to Kadokawa that this model is profitable.

I thought it was okay, at first, but the way it hints that the person who's acting as a drill sergeant and forcing him to do things might like him I found creepy. It's really, REALLY not a good basis for a relationship. Probably would read it if JNC licensed it though.

The synopsis doesn't tell me anything useful. That said, just from the title alone, I'm up voting this, it's intrigued me.

Basically, the protagonist has "Healing Magic" which is weird. Everyone can heal normal things, but Healing Magic lets the user rapid-heal themselves and superheal others. Cue a boot camp where they are forced to constantly train, while using their healing magic to heal the damage as their muscles tear themselves apart from the work, yadda yadda, compressing years of work into a few weeks. And no, this happens in a chapter, so not really spoiling.

This can lead to unintended consequences and potentially harm the person or creature being healed. One of the main issues with using healing magic raw is the possibility of over-healing. Over-healing occurs when too much magic is applied to a wound or injury, resulting in an excessive amount of healing energy being channeled into the affected area.

This can cause the wound to close too quickly, leading to complications such as internal bleeding, infection, or even the formation of scar tissue. Another problem with using healing magic raw is the lack of precision. Healing magic requires focus and control to target the specific area that needs healing. When used raw, without proper concentration, the magic may spread throughout the body, affecting healthy tissue and potentially causing more harm than good. It could lead to unintended healing of areas that don't need healing, disrupting the body's natural balance. Furthermore, using healing magic raw can drain the user's own energy and vitality. Healing magic relies on the user's life force to fuel the healing process. When used excessively or without care, the user can become physically and mentally exhausted. This can lead to a weakened immune system and decreased ability to effectively use healing magic in the future. In conclusion, using healing magic raw is not advisable. It can lead to over-healing, lack of precision, and depletion of the user's energy. It is important for magic users to understand the limitations and nuances of healing magic and use it responsibly. Proper training and knowledge are key to harnessing the true potential of healing magic and ensuring the well-being of those being healed..

Overall, I was severely disappointed with this book and would not recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and engaging fantasy read.

Review: "The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic" started off promising, but quickly lost its appeal. The main character's constant internal monologue became overwhelming and repetitive, often hindering the flow of the story. The plot lacked originality, feeling like a rehash of other popular fantasy novels. The world-building was weak, with little effort put into establishing a believable and immersive setting. While I appreciated the author's attempt to incorporate humor, it felt forced and often fell flat. Overall, this book failed to leave a lasting impression, and I wouldn't recommend it to those seeking a captivating fantasy read.
