Does anyone know why I can't find anywhere to read past chapter 18 for this series? I have looked everywhere from bookstores to online sites and come up with nothing. Is it just an American thing? Any help or advice on where to look would be very much appreciated.

I just saw someone update the wiki real quick and saw they put East is still a witch despite having Etwal destroyed. So I'm thinking either Etwal isn't dead and still being used by North or that once a witch uses the rest of their mana from their mana source then they're technically not a witch.

Who would be stronger right now? I know in the past it took two great witches to kill Varete, but if South is considered the current strongest witch would that mean Varete is in a weakened form?, personally I think Varete could own South.

Okay so I had the craziest thought. What if Tasha is the son of North? I mean I know in the recent chapter, Tasha's adoptive parents said they found him in a basket eight years ago. North, as stated by East said it was she who implanted the West's reincarnation into Tasha. Tasha and North both have black hair. So now I'm wondering who'd the father be. Also East said that (in the chapter with Vihungrang) Tasha is either the savior or destruction of humanity and is nothing more than a tool of North. This could be like the relationship between Medusa and Cron of the manga Soul Eater. I don't know, but that's what I was thinking.

I don't think the black cover around North is floating, rather, it would appear to be attached to the back of her collar. Idk, what are your perceptions?

The talisman peter strawb

Sloat believes that by eliminating Jack and gaining control over the Talisman, an object with immense supernatural powers, he can consolidate his power over both worlds. Throughout the novel, Peter Strawb masterfully weaves intricate details and vivid descriptions to paint a rich tapestry of the worlds Jack explores. From the gritty streets of an American city to the enchanted forests of the Territories, readers are immersed in the settings, evoking a sense of awe and wonder. Moreover, Strawb skillfully develops the characters, giving them depth and complexity. Jack's transformation from a scared, vulnerable boy into a brave and determined hero is particularly compelling. The relationships he forges along the way, especially with his loyal ally Wolf, further add emotional depth to the story. The Talisman is a remarkable novel that seamlessly combines elements of fantasy, horror, and coming-of-age themes. It keeps readers on the edge of their seats with its fast-paced plot and unpredictable twists. Peter Strawb's masterful storytelling and imaginative world-building make this novel a must-read for fans of the genre..

Reviews for "The Talisman: A Tale of Magic and Destiny"

1. Jack - 2/5 - "I was really disappointed with 'The Talisman' by Peter Strawb. I had heard so many great things about this book, but in the end, it was just not my cup of tea. The story felt dragged out and repetitive, with unnecessary plot twists that didn't add much to the overall narrative. The characters were also quite weakly developed, making it hard for me to emotionally connect with them. Overall, I found the book to be underwhelming and would not recommend it to others."
2. Sarah - 1/5 - "I regret reading 'The Talisman' by Peter Strawb. The writing style was very tedious, with long-winded descriptions that added little to the story. The pacing was also incredibly slow, making it a struggle to stay engaged and interested. Additionally, the plot failed to captivate me, as it felt predictable and lacked originality. I was left feeling disappointed and frustrated with this book. There are much better fantasy novels out there, so I would advise readers to skip this one."
3. Mike - 2.5/5 - "Although 'The Talisman' by Peter Strawb had an intriguing premise, I found the execution to be lacking. The world-building was weak and left me with many unanswered questions. The dialogue felt forced and unnatural, making it difficult for me to connect with the characters. The book had potential, but it ultimately fell flat for me. If you're a die-hard fan of the author, you might enjoy it, but otherwise, I would recommend exploring other books in the genre instead."
