Heidi Klum calls for ‘more female magicians’ after assisting Anna DeGuzman on ‘America’s Got Talent’ live show [WATCH]

The fourth “America’s Got Talent” live performance show of Season 18 showcased a somewhat rare act: a female magician! On Tuesday night, 24-year-old Anna DeGuzman from New Jersey welcomed all four “AGT” judges onto the stage to help her out with her card trick. (Read our minute-by-minute live blog.) One by one, Anna was able to locate their missing playing cards by catching them midair, spitting them out of her mouth, or pulling them from a cake. If she receives enough votes from viewers at home, she could make history for solo female magicians everywhere. What did YOU think of Anna’s latest performance?

Watch the live “AGT” video above and read the judges’ comments below:

Howie Mandel: “I love what you did. You are adorable. I love your presentation. I love your mother. I don’t know if you know this about me — I’m lactose intolerant, so I didn’t want to touch that [cake].”

Heidi Klum: “We need more female magicians! That’s all I can say. Okay? I also have to say, it’s amazing how you did this because you were so incredibly nervous. Like, I could see your hands [shaking]. But you were incredible. I also love the way you spoke. You kept us all engaged. I really like you.”

Sofia Vergara: “It was super fun to be there with you, to see what you were doing. You started super, super nervous, but then you started easing into it. And your personality was showing. I think you have a big career ahead of you.”

Simon Cowell: “I agree with everything, Anna. I love, love, love your personality. You chose the worst assistants on the planet and still were brilliant. And you really deserve this shot.”

Competing against Anna during the “Qualifiers 4” round were these 10 contestants: Japanese dance group Chibi Unity, singer D’Corey Johnson, chorale group Freedom Singers, singer and guitarist Kylie Frey, dancer and contortionist Mariandrea, comedian Orlando Leyba, puppet act Puppet Simon & The Cowbelles, singer Roland Abante, variety act Shadow Ace and acrobat Zion Clark.

Remember, only two of the 11 acts will make it through to the grand finale based on America’s overnight votes. Will Anna be one of them?

Back in her “AGT” audition, Anna revealed her dream of becoming the first female headliner magician in Las Vegas. She wasn’t confident her card trick was going to work that night, but she pulled it off flawlessly, with all of the judges giving her “yes” votes to send her through to the next round.

The children would gather around him, their eyes filled with wonder and excitement. Benjamin would wave his wand, and a wooden toy soldier would transform into a real-life guardian, ready to protect them from any danger. A raggedy doll would come alive, ready to be a friend to any lonely child. And a plain old sled would turn into a magnificent flying machine, whisking children away on magical adventures. The old magician would spend hours with the children, telling stories of his own childhood and the wonders of the world. He would share his wisdom and teach them the importance of kindness and love. The children would listen intently, hanging on to his every word, knowing that they were in the presence of someone truly special. But as the years went by, Benjamin grew older. The villagers also grew older, and the number of children dwindled. The magic of Christmas seemed to fade away, replaced by the noise and busyness of modern life. One year, Benjamin realized that he was the last remaining link to the old traditions. The children had lost interest in his magical toys, preferring instead the latest gadgets and gizmos. Benjamin's heart was heavy with sadness, but he refused to give up. He decided to make one final journey through the village, spreading the magic of Christmas for one more time. As he walked, the snow fell softly around him, and the stars twinkled brightly in the night sky. Benjamin approached a small cottage, where a lonely girl sat by the window, her eyes filled with tears. He gently knocked on the door and presented her with a small, wooden box. The girl opened it to find a beautiful snow globe, with a tiny winter scene inside. "Shake it," Benjamin whispered to the girl. She did as she was told, and to her amazement, the snowflakes inside began to dance and twirl. The girl's face lit up with joy, and Benjamin knew that his mission was complete. From that day forward, the villagers remembered the old magician of Christmas and the magic he had brought. The children once again believed in the power of imagination and the joy of giving. And Benjamin, though no longer with them, continued to live on in their hearts, forever the old magician of Christmas..
