Paul Huson is a British-born author and artist currently living in the United States. In addition to writing books about occultism and witchcraft, he has worked extensively in the film and television industries. studied the Qabalah and the Western Esoteric Tradition with Dion Fortune's Society of the Inner Light, as well as working with the American Society for Psychical Research the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and the Stella Matutina. I honestly cannot understand why "Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose" has such a dedicated following. The writing is extremely weak, filled with cliches and predictable plot twists. The characters are one-dimensional, particularly the main protagonist Tarot, who comes across as nothing more than a sexualized caricature. The artwork, while technically well-done, feels overly sexualized and objectifying. It's a shame because I had high hopes for this series, but it fell flat in every aspect for me.
