A Dallas spot for Instagram-bait desserts Magical Dessert Bar will bring its unicorn-focused sweets destination to Houston next month.
Although the singularly focused shop is a little late to the unicorn trend, which reached peak popularity several years ago, the tardiness doesn’t seem to have hurt its bottomline. This will be the second outpost for Magical Dessert Bar, which just debuted in Dallas’ popular Deep Ellum district last month and is part of a growing dessert empire for Dallas-based proprietors Usman and Javeria Babar. The couple is also behind Montrose’s Chills360, a Thai rolled ice cream shop that debuted in Dallas in 2016 and quickly expanded to 10 locations in DFW, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin.
In Dallas, Magical Dessert Bar has been drawing photo-obsessed fans for it’s whimsical unicorn-everything desserts including cake pops, cupcakes, pink hot chocolate, and cake-topped milkshakes emblazoned with candy horns and plenty of rainbow-colored food dye. The shop reportedly drew lines out the door after debuting.

This dessert bar is in my neighborhood and I happened to be walking by on a weekday at opening. I waited about 10 minutes to place the order but I hear that wait times can be much longer!

The walls were adorned with golden ornaments, and the seats were made of the softest velvet he had ever touched. The windows revealed breathtaking sceneries, as if they were flying through the clouds. Tim couldn't believe his eyes. He realized that he had indeed unlocked the magic box car. Excitement filled his heart as he explored different compartments of the train. Each compartment had a different theme, from lush green forests to vast oceans and even outer space. For days on end, Tim traveled to places he had only dreamed of visiting. He met fascinating creatures, learned from wise sages, and experienced adventures beyond his wildest imaginations. The magic box car became his gateway to an extraordinary world full of wonders and endless possibilities. However, as time went on, Tim began to miss his family and friends back in the village. He realized that no matter how magical the box car was, the people he loved were irreplaceable. With a heavy heart, he locked the box once again and said goodbye to the magical train. Returning to the village, Tim shared his incredible journey with his loved ones. They were amazed by his adventure and proud of his courage. From that day forward, Tim cherished his memories of the magic box car and the lessons he had learned along the way. The magic box car remained a secret, awaiting the day when another curious and brave soul would stumble upon it and unlock its treasures once again. But for now, Tim knew that the real magic was not in the box itself, but in what he had discovered about himself and the beauty of the world around him..
