We invite you to participate in the search of our next mascot by voting for your favorites.
Design principles for the development effort include:
- The college mascot should be inclusive just as FSCJ is inclusive and accepting
- The college mascot should be considerate of long-term impact and effect
- It should “feel” like FSCJ- representing first and foremost the students and future opportunities.
- The mascot will encourage and foster school spirit and pride while further bonding our students, student athletes, faculty, employees and alumni to our institution and community
- The mascot will be unique to the Florida college system
- The mascot will integrate with our existing college brand, colors and identity elements

1. Jane - 2/5 - I was really disappointed with "Rune symbol for strength." The storyline felt forced and lacked depth. The characters were one-dimensional and I couldn't connect with any of them. The writing style was also quite dull, with repetitive descriptions and predictable dialogue. Overall, it just didn't live up to my expectations and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a gripping and well-developed fantasy novel.
2. Mark - 1/5 - I found "Rune symbol for strength" to be a complete waste of time. The plot was incredibly slow and it felt like nothing was happening throughout the entire book. The characters were also extremely flat and uninteresting, making it hard to care about their fate or the events unfolding around them. The writing itself was lackluster, with long-winded descriptions that added nothing to the story. I struggled to finish this book and would not recommend it to anyone.
3. Sarah - 2/5 - "Rune symbol for strength" was a letdown for me. The pacing was all over the place, with periods of extreme slowness followed by rushed and confusing action scenes. The world-building felt incomplete and there were many elements that were left unexplained. Additionally, the dialogue was stilted and felt unnatural, making it difficult to fully immerse myself in the story. Overall, it was a mediocre read that failed to live up to its potential.
