Witchcraft in a High Magic Setting: Pathfinder 2e Witch

By admin

Pathfinder 2e Witch is a versatile and intriguing spellcasting class in the Pathfinder Roleplaying game. The class combines the power of arcane magic with unique hex abilities, making it a formidable force on the battlefield. The Witch class is known for its ability to cast spells and manipulate magic through the use of hexes. Hexes are special abilities that can be used to curse enemies, heal allies, or provide other magical effects. This makes the Witch class a great support character in a party, as they can both deal damage and provide important buffs or debuffs. One of the key features of the Witch class is their access to a familiar.

Cauldron just makes sense for a witch. But I see too many witches go with an alchemy multi class archetype. Can Cauldron get some more support please?

Keep the Feats as is and add a Secondary Patron Feat so that you can still use them as a Witch and expand on what you do are and to also enable the ability for MCA Witches to access Lesson benefits. As of now it s really the only way to have weapon runes be part of your character instead of just being another item they wield, which I really like.

One of the key features of the Witch class is their access to a familiar. Familiars are small magical creatures that act as companions for the Witch and provide various benefits. Familiars can deliver spells, provide bonuses to skill checks, or even grant additional spell slots.

Some gain power through study, some through devotion, others through blood, but the witch gains power from her communion with the unknown. Generally feared and misunderstood, the witch draws her magic from a pact made with an otherworldly power. Communing with that source and using her familiar as a conduit, the witch gains not only a host of spells, but also a number of strange abilities known as hexes. As a witch grows in power, she might learn about the source of her magic, but some remain blissfully unaware. Some are even fearful of what that source might be, or where its true purposes lie. 1

This makes the familiar an integral part of the Witch class and gives the player more options in combat. In addition to their spellcasting and hex abilities, Witches also have a selection of class feats that they can choose from as they level up. These feats allow the player to further customize their character and unlock new abilities. Some feats allow the Witch to enhance their hexes, while others provide new spells or bonuses to their familiar. The Witch class in Pathfinder 2e is a complex and powerful spellcasting class that offers a wide range of options for players. Whether you want to focus on dealing damage, providing support, or controlling the battlefield, the Witch has the tools to do so. With their unique hex abilities and access to a familiar, Witches are a versatile and intriguing class for players looking to master the magical arts..

Reviews for "Witchcraft in the Age of Monsters: Pathfinder 2e Witch in Combat"

- Jane - 2 stars - I found Pathfinder 2e to be overly complicated and convoluted. The rulebook is so dense and full of detailed mechanics that it's overwhelming to try and learn. It took my group hours to create our characters because there were so many options and choices to make. Furthermore, the combat system felt clunky and slow, with too many rounds to keep track of. Overall, I was disappointed and felt like the game prioritized complexity over fun.
- John - 1 star - Pathfinder 2e was a huge letdown for me. The character creation process was a nightmare, with numerous steps and tedious decisions to be made. It took away from the fun of the game and made it feel like a chore. Additionally, the balance between classes felt off, with some classes being significantly more powerful than others. The game also didn't do a good job of explaining certain mechanics, leaving us confused and frustrated. I was expecting an enjoyable and accessible tabletop experience, but instead, I got a mess of rules and confusion.
- Sarah - 2 stars - I tried to give Pathfinder 2e a chance, but I just couldn't get into it. The game felt overly complex, with too many rules and mechanics to keep track of. It was difficult to remember all the different modifiers and bonuses during combat, which made battles feel slow and tedious. The character creation process was also overwhelming, with too many choices and options to consider. I wanted a game that was fun and immersive, but instead, I just felt frustrated and confused.
- Mark - 2 stars - Pathfinder 2e was not what I expected. The game focused heavily on combat and dice rolling, which overshadowed any opportunity for roleplaying and storytelling. The complexity of the rules made it hard to stay engaged and invested in the game, as we were constantly flipping through the rulebook for clarifications. The magic system felt convoluted and hard to understand, adding to the overall confusion. I was hoping for a more balanced and immersive experience, but instead, I felt like I was just going through the motions of a generic fantasy game.
