Mabon is a time for gratitude and reflection, as Pagans give thanks for the bountiful harvest and prepare for the approaching winter. Samhain, celebrated on October 31st, marks the beginning of winter and is considered the Pagan New Year. It is a time when the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds thins, allowing for communication with ancestors and departed loved ones. Samhain is often associated with honoring the cycle of life and death, divination, and the lighting of bonfires. Finally, Yule, also known as the winter solstice, occurs on December 20th or 21st. It is the shortest day of the year and marks the return of the sun. Pagans celebrate by lighting candles and fires, exchanging gifts, and welcoming the rebirth of the sun's light.
