Destiny 2 is one of the best shooters to release in 2017, and if you’re like us, you’ve already sunk dozens of hours into its campaign, competitive multiplayer, and cooperative missions. However, for those who haven’t suited up their Guardian quite yet, a free trial might change your mind.
Starting Tuesday, November 28, Bungie and Activision are releasing a free trial version of Destiny 2 for all available platforms. In this version of the game, players can explore two of the game’s destinations: the European Dead Zone on Earth and the moon Titan. Within these two destinations, they can access campaign missions and adventures.
Recommended VideosTrial players can also access the Farm social space and take part in competitive multiplayer matches in the Crucible. Multiplayer is restricted to quickplay playlists during the free trial, but players can still join a clan and earn clan experience. Progressions in the free trial of Destiny 2 is capped at level 7, but players can carry over their progress to the full game when it is purchased.

While Shadowkeep is alright and Beyond Light is good, Witch Queen is on a whole other level. The main campaign has a legendary mode that plays like a classic Bungie shooter, complete with clever level design, breathtaking spectacle, and tense, high-stakes shootouts. Even if you have no desire to grind for loot or engage with the rest of Destiny 2’s muddled live-service sandbox, Witch Queen is worth playing all by itself . It even has mission checkpoints.
