Does anyone has any info on this one ? I've owned it for a few years and I have just discovered it's a bootleg. All of the Melvins records I bought are bootlegs, and I all bought them at the same place and they weren't sold as such.

Does the MOV copy have Queen and Revolve at a lower volume than the rest of the song as well? Have only owned this version so I have no point of comparison

Just received my MOV copy and I can confirm that this beautiful European pressing is the way to go. Gorgeous vinyl (black) and absolutely dead quiet. Dynamic and punchy, lively. Gatefold packaging is top quality, all images sharp and saturated and clean looking. The real thing!

So it was given a test pressing in 2014 and given the full release in 2016. What was the massive delay for then? Legal reasons? Pressing issues?

Reviews for "Melvins' Stoner Wutch Discography: Essential Tracks for Any Fan"

1. John - 1 star
I was really disappointed with the Melvins' stoner witch songs. I found them to be repetitive and lacking any depth or substance. The heavy guitar riffs were just noise to me, and the vocals were grating and hard to listen to. I couldn't connect with any of the songs and felt like I wasted my time and money on this album. It's definitely not my cup of tea.
2. Sarah - 2 stars
I have heard great things about the Melvins, but their stoner witch songs left me underwhelmed. While I appreciate the uniqueness of their sound, I found it difficult to enjoy the album as a whole. The songs all seemed to blend together, and the lack of variety made it hard to stay engaged. Additionally, the lyrics felt shallow and didn't resonate with me. I can see why some people might enjoy this style, but unfortunately, it just didn't work for me.
3. David - 2 stars
I gave the Melvins' stoner witch songs a try, but they just didn't click with me. The heavy and distorted sound was overwhelming, and I couldn't find any discernible melodies or hooks to latch onto. The album felt like a wall of noise rather than a cohesive collection of songs. While I understand that this genre might appeal to certain listeners, it didn't resonate with me personally. I prefer music that offers more nuance and variety.
4. Emily - 3 stars
As someone who usually enjoys experimental music, I was excited to listen to the Melvins' stoner witch songs. However, I found myself struggling to connect with the album. While there were some interesting moments and glimpses of creativity, overall, it felt disjointed and lacking direction. The tracks felt more like unfinished ideas rather than fully fleshed out songs. I appreciate the band's willingness to push boundaries, but this particular album didn't quite hit the mark for me.
5. Michael - 2 stars
I tried to get into the Melvins' stoner witch songs, but they just didn't resonate with me. The heavy and sludgy sound was too monotonous for my taste, and the lack of dynamics made it difficult to stay engaged. I also found the vocals to be unintelligible and difficult to connect with. While I can see the appeal for fans of this genre, it simply wasn't for me. I prefer music with more variation and clarity.
