By admin

Magix Soul Food is a unique and flavorful cuisine that has its roots in African American culture. It is deeply connected to the history and traditions of the African American community and represents a culinary legacy that has been passed down through generations. Soul food is known for its rich and hearty flavors, as well as its emphasis on using simple, yet impactful, ingredients. Fuck yeah, Wiccan!

This Tumblelog is dedicated to
Wiccan , aka William "Billy" Kaplan, who was formerly known as Asgardian. Wiccan is a member of the Young Avengers , a superhero team set in the fictional universe of Marvel Comics .

Wiccan and the rest of the Young Avengers--except Stature and Vision--were created by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung .

“Hulkling and Wiccan”

Loving Young Avengers atm, Allan Heinberg’s writing rocks and he presents so many positive modern role models for todays young people. Including these two. The first openly gay couple in the Marvel universe. I love them, and I like the way the romance is understated rather than pushed to the foreground with ‘I AM GAY DON’T YOU KNOW!’ characterization. Big up for superhero gayness!

“Young Avengers - Billy”

First page of my moleskine watercolor sketchbook.

Billy from Young Avengers, as usual ;

Inspired by ~ramalama14’s [link] which made me realize that Billy in a red sweatshirt truly is the best thing since sliced bread.

Tools Red ink, china ink

Time Not that much. 1 hour maybe ?

I did post this on my own blog, obviously, but I figured it belonged here as well.

Billy being awesome, and faithful, and very very gay.

“Wiccan Hulkling sketch”

CRAPPY PLACEHOLDER ART as I race to color more of the drawings that I amassed in my sketchbook over the past 2, 3 weeks x_X this was drawn a few months ago, when I first read Young Avengers, which is why uniform details SUUUUCK lol this is also why I was quicker to draw for Runaways, cuz I didn’t need any uniform references >_>

“YA - Billy and Teddy”

If this is terrible… I wonder what “awesome” looks like.

“Young Avengers: put that down”

You know when you’re just sitting there talking about something completely irrelevant and all of a sudden the guy you’ve been crushing on forever kisses you mid-sentence?

yeah me too

I’m too tired to care about how bad this is so whatever. I didn’t know what the hell clothes to draw so Billy likes Millencolin now okay ):

I will totally make up for this when a massive paper isn’t looming over my head

Moments like this one between Billy and Teddy… need to come out in the comics.

“u make my bf bleed. ME SMASH U”

so you all know i’m a DC gal at heart, but several people over the years have recomended “young avengers” to me and i finally flipped through two volumes at the bookstore this morning. it looks really good; gorgeous art, interesting characters, lots of action, aliens, robots, monsters, drug abuse, and of course teenage angst and romance XD i really want to get it and read it in full now

i adore teddy/hulkling and billy/wiccan together. because guess what? CANON. like CANONNLY CANON. a big step in the right direction for marvel comics, i give them a bravo

sorry DC, but for once marvel has you beat; your attempt at PC-ism with the lesbian batwoman and catwoman… not so much working for ya

anyway, this one goes out to all my watchers who read marvel comics hope i didn’t mess them up too badly XD ((in my defense, wiccan’s outfit changes like every fourteen minutes -_-; every ref i found was different ))

much fun with lighting effects and line-thickness cop-out bg FTW. done entirely with a tablet in photoshop elements, roughly… um… sixish hours? I WAS BORED TODAY. DON’T JUDGE ME.

That being said, boy I’m really behind in comics, well I’m behind in just about anything, but comics more so. This time it’s Young Avengers I’ve been so shamefully neglecting, which is awesome, but gone so soon :c Billy and Teddy being the lovable geeks they are, god I just adore them if not for being such a cute couple then because of their major fanboying. seriously gay nerds, what’s there not to love Oh Marvel, just when I thought I quit you forever you do something like this.
