The manager of Magical Midway told News 6 when the new slingshot goes up just a mile down the street, Magical Midway and its slingshot will be redeveloped. International Drive is home to the existing tallest slingshot in the world, which catapults people over 390 feet and is located at Magical Midway, less than a mile north of Icon Park.

The slingshot is totally awesome! It is intense, but worth it. Not for the faint of heart. If you need a thrill, check it out. Staff was awesome and will ride along with you if you are alone or afraid. I visited on a Tuesday at around midnight, and basically had the ride to myself. Also, if you ride twice, all future rides are $15 bucks at any slingshot around the country, that is owned by the same company. Plus, free videos for life if you bring the USB you purchase after your first ride.

The ride was incredibly rough, it felt like my entire body was being tossed around like a ragdoll. I left with a pounding headache and feeling nauseous. The staff seemed indifferent to our complaints and didn't appear to care about the safety and comfort of the riders. I will never set foot in this place again.

Overall, I don't recommend this ride if you're looking for a thrilling and worthwhile experience.
