Staying in a Villa at Magic Village Resort, Kissimmee

Back in April, my Mum and I headed to Florida on a magical trip to try out some of the awesome things to do OUTSIDE of the Disney Parks. This included staying at the Magic Village Resort in Kissimmee which turned out to be a perfect base for visiting the parks and relaxing after a long, hectic day of activities.

Located just off Highway 192, Magic Village is a luxury, resort with over 180-holiday homes all situated within the gated community. The villas are quite different from any other villa I’ve stayed in, in Florida before. Most villas I’ve stayed in are detached style with their own pool whereas the Magic Village Resort offers contemporary townhouses that are two or three floors. There are three and four bedroom villas available. At first, I wondered why they had built the complex without pools but quickly realised that this is a great option for people like myself who don’t really use pools. Villas with their own pool usually come with heating costs which are usually still required (even in Flordia) and can be more expensive in general so it’s great that there is another option on the table.

The Villa

We stayed in a four bedroom townhouse at the back of the property and were surprised at just how nice it was. Firstly, it was quiet. One of the benefits of the houses not having their own pools was that there wasn’t much noise from surrounding properties. Don’t worry, if you love a pool – there’s a communal one on site which is surrounded by comfy loungers close to the bar!

Our villa was the perfect retreat from the parks. As I said we were in a four-bedroom villa which consisted of two king rooms and two twin rooms so could comfortably sleep up to eight people. The rooms were huge and came with their own bathrooms. The two king bedrooms also had separate dressing rooms. The beds were very comfy and even though when I’m in Florida I like to be up and out, they made it very difficult to want to get up!

Each home has a fully equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer which thrilled my mum haha! No seriously, the day before we left she put a wash on so she wouldn’t have as much washing to do when she got home! Also, I know from experience that if you’re going as a family with kids, having a washer and dryer in your villa can be a godsend.

Other amenities in the villa included a safe, ironing facilities, a hairdryer, cable TV (I caught an episode of ‘The Resident’ and now I’m hooked!) and air conditioning. Our villa also came with a barbeque (which would have thrilled my uncle who loves to BBQ as much as he can when he comes to Florida) and an outdoor seating area. Mum’s bedroom also had its own balcony with sun loungers on which she took great pleasure in sitting on and reading her book with her morning cup of tea.

More importantly, there’s free wifi so you can get uploading those holiday snaps without using your precious (and expensive) data!

Facilities

Other facilities on site included a 24-hour concierge, a communal pool with comfy sun loungers and a hot tub, a gym, a laundry service and a restaurant for when you still want good food not too far from your door.

There’s also free transportation to the Disney parks which are incredibly close (you’re pretty much on the Animal Kingdom complex… that’s how close you are), about a 10-minute drive. It’s also very easy to get to Orlando’s other attractions as the 192 is a well-connected route to the I4! You”re also really close to some great restaurants on the 192 and also an IHOP, McDonald’s, a Walmart and various Disney gift shops.

Overall we were really impressed with Magic Village resort and have recommended it to a few of our friends that are visiting the Kissimmee area in big groups. If you want to see our villa and Magic Village Resort in a bit more detail, my travel vlog from my April 2018 Disney World series has a full house tour.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Magic Villa Orlando Florida. The property was not well-maintained, and we encountered numerous issues with the amenities. The pool was filthy and had a strange odor, making it impossible to enjoy a swim. The kitchen appliances were outdated and barely functional, making it difficult to prepare meals. Additionally, the beds were uncomfortable and seemed to be old and worn. Overall, I would not recommend this villa to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Orlando.

Our experience at Magic Villa Orlando Florida was a nightmare from start to finish. The communication with the property owner was terrible, as they were unresponsive and unhelpful throughout our stay. The villa itself was dirty and poorly maintained, with stained carpets and broken furniture. The air conditioning system was malfunctioning, making our stay extremely uncomfortable in the Florida heat. Furthermore, the location was not as advertised, as it was far from the attractions and required long drives to reach any popular destinations. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this property at all costs.

I had high hopes for Magic Villa Orlando Florida, but unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. The cleanliness of the property was subpar, with dust and dirt visible in several areas. The amenities promised, such as a game room and hot tub, were either unavailable or in disrepair. The overall decor of the villa was outdated and lacked the charm I was expecting. While the location was convenient, it was overshadowed by the many other disappointments during our stay. I would not recommend this villa to others looking for a memorable and comfortable vacation in Orlando.

Although Magic Villa Orlando Florida provided me and my family with a place to stay during our vacation, I was not entirely satisfied with our experience. The villa itself was decent, but there were various issues that detracted from our enjoyment. The Wi-Fi was unreliable and kept disconnecting, making it frustrating to stay connected. Additionally, the cleanliness of the property left something to be desired, and we had to spend time cleaning upon arrival. While the location was convenient for accessing the theme parks, I expected better overall quality for the price we paid.
