Talisma of vions

I have a Belerion Talisman accessory which supposedly gives "+1 Vision". But I don't know what it does? Possibilities include extra map reveal on the overland map and seeing in the dark in tombs etc but I don't think I notice a difference?

Anyone have any idea?

It does nothing anymore, not even in the dark.

It used to be a very nice item, for scouting way ahead and it had vision 5 or something like that.
So you could see much futher ahead, instead I just equip torches (am addicted to using torches in combat)

It does actually work in the dark. It's just very poor.

I only noticed that it was working because I could use the AoE protection effect from my warrior to help my archer (the one with the talisman) even though he was in complete darkness.

Thanks. After I posted I noticed that torches when in off-hand give Vision +5, so yeah apparently the trinket gives 20% of the vision of a torch.

I think it's intended to give you greater distance vision in the world, not short range see in the dark abilities. The description says something about being used by sailors/mariners if I remember correctly. What that means in practice I'm not sure, maybe you can spot stuff from a longer range but I have no idea how you'd measure that - I usually just sell the damned thing!

Oh, that's good to know. I always had it on my guy who has the torch equipped so I'm not sure if I'm seeing much of a difference.
